S14
Zeal coilovers (need low offset)
Grip
Want no roll or pull
Stagger ok (pref - 225/245)
Z32 28mm brakes (not installed yet)
Rather not go spacers
17" look the best on s14 unless you can prove other wise
Nothing really oldschool

I can get a set of sweet 16x8 +15 Work Meisters 2p from JP for around 1000 shipped but 16...blah but perfect offset...tempting...other options

5Zigen - best offset 17x8 +25 (nah)
Volk - TE37 16x8 +15 (too pricey new)
Work - Emotions 17x8 +25 -- all special order bull

I need some more opinions
Thanks for putting up with another stupid selection thead but i'm getting fustrated.

Whats up with the crappy sizes? Atleast 17x9s up front and 17x10s in the rear. Both with roughly +15mm offset plus or minus 5 depending on how much you wanna roll the fenders...I swear this shit should be a fucking FACT by now!!!

Eh yeah, I guess if its a "grip" setup then you could run more conservative offsets, but 17x8 all around I wouldnt really consider an upgrade.

You could run 17x9+17 Work Emotions. I think those would look much better than 17x8+25s all around.

If 17x9, then I'd go 235 all around, or maybe 235/245 stagger. Anything beyond that is overkill.

Also, I think you meant 26mm brakes, not like it matters but just noticed you put 28mm.

Please don't run 16's on a S14. 17's or bust on those things.

thanks for the constructive critizism and yes it was a typo with the 26mm...
i've paged through the wheel fitment thread about 2-3 times and was just asking for wheel types with low offsets basically that fit my needs.

the problem with a 9" +15 wheel is that it leaves me with 7mm less toward my coilover and will more than likely not clear. on the stock 16x6.5 +40 i have about 3mm between the wheel and my coilover. i need to at least match the stock backspace offset to clear my Zeals. So, yes i could go 17x9 +10 or lower but that will leave me with a roll/pull.

which is why i brought up the 17x8 for the fronts but even with a 17x8 +25 i'd have to run a spacer to match the stock backspace. spacers i may have to run so i should probably just suck it up.

I'd do a roll anyway, even if you don't need it, because it allows for the tire rub against a smooth face *if* it has to (say it breaks off the bead, etc). I know there's little chance of incident but it's nice to have it done. Plus, it looks better from below, especially in the rear, since there's no jagged, rough, spotwelded lip sticking out.
After that you don't need to pull as long as you can introduce enough camber to clear everything.

im not understanding these wheel terms
i understand that 17x8.5 where 17 is the rim size, 8.5 is the rim width
but whats with the +21 and such?
i heard that its offset but really, what is offset
all i noe is that my tires r stock at 225/40r16
wat size wheels would i need to work with those tire size?
sorry for being noob, dont flame me.

Why NOT roll the fenders? It's not like it decreases the value of the car, and it's not very hard.

You gotta pay to play dude.

Offsets Explained (http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoWheelOffsets.dos)

Zilvia should have a basic wheel fitment/offset calculation test as a requirement for membership. It is discussed so often, that every member should be required to understand it.

are zeal coilovers that bulky that they won't clear a 17x9 +15? I find that hard to believe

the problem is with all the wheel threads (like I said earlier i've scanned through them 2-3 times each) no one seems to have Zeal coilovers. all i have to compare to them is my stock 16x6.5 +40 and these barely clear. the bracket on the coils is very small bringing the coil closer to the wheel. i've been calculating wheels based on clearance of my stockers.

i'm pretty sure kingsol is running 17x9 +20 w/ zeal coilovers, unless he changed wheels since i last talked to him
