He could of juss used Porsche GT2 or some newer porsche brakes, but they prolly cost more.

1966 was the first year of production for the 912, and the 911 had only been around for 2 yrs. it would be WAY easier and much more cost effective to use 300zx calipers then to retrofit the 912 for full ABS, ceramic rotors, and Six piston calipers used on the GT2. in fact, the brakes from the GT2 would probably cost more than the entire 912.
