well, I am paying about 170 a month on a '84 ford piece of junk. I am scared to see what it will be when I get the 240 running. Geico quoted me $3200 for the Ford. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> but then again I have a really bad record. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hmmm.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hmmm:'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cry.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
EDIT: forgot to mention that I currently have Allstate under my parents name.

$84 a month for liability, full coverage would be $145, and I'm on my parents policy.

I'm 19-- NJ - 9 points/11 insurance points ... yea-- no accidents.. lost my license twice and mine is a 1995....
I pay ummm.. $7500 a year($1000 deductable for col/comp) on a state insurance plan since no business will cover me.. I'm too much of a high risk driver.. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>
oh well.. I can't wait till I'm 21.. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

I pay 1596 a year for my 96 240 and my wifes 2001 ZX3 and neither of us have any tickets or accidents. It is about to go down it about 2 months, as I will be 25.
O, and that is with State Farm with a $100 deductible.

I pay $1932 a year, that is for full coverage on both of my cars, in northern VA. I have 2 accidents neither of them my fault. I can't wait till I turn 25 in November, that should cut my rate in half. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

$7500 a year?!!! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'>
damn yo! I'd move to North Dakota and drive around in a geo metro for a few years and retire on all the money you're saving. That's outragous. Seriously, park that thing for 2 years and when you can afford to drive it again you'll have an RB swapped in and one of the most badass 240's out there. I hate paying $960 a year for full coverage. hell two years of insurance would buy you an FD and at least that car would be FAST!
As for the 2mph over. WTF is that? I don't even think your speedo is that accurate. As far as I can tell at 65, my gf's car (altima) is off by 2mph.

you tell 'em, Steve!
i agree. some of you just need to park the 240 and get something lame for a while. i pay $750 a year for full coverage out here in Illinois...but then again, mine's insured as an 89 Coupe and i'm 23 with an almost spotless record. except for that damn ticket for spinning through first and second at a stop light. fockers.

Don't bet on it. I heard all the glorius stories of rates falling through the floor. Nope!
2 mos. b/f I hit 25, I got my first ticket, so my rates didn't drop but about $10/mo. on my next renewal cycle. I got a call from my agent (I was in school in DC, ticket in VA, and car was insured in GA) about one year later asking whether I had got a ticket. "Yup." He said it didn't show up until then!
BTW: how much more was it for the second car? I'm thinking about adding a small convertible family member in a month or so...
BTW: GEICO (1 ticket in '98, no wrecks, over 25, single, inside DC beltway) - $104/mo w/ super-duper coverage.

For this reason I think I may sell my car and get a motorcycle till everything is low again.. my pockets are burning up in insurance money.. its crazy... I could buy myself a huge swap plus more if my insurance didn't kill.. grrrr... check it out... think I should sell my car or just uninsure it, buy a piece of crap and use the extra moolah to fix up the silvia? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hmmm.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hmmm:'>
