Hey everyone I know my car isn;t running right now but in the meantime maybe i can get this pet-peeve of my chest...

I have ghetto sleepers on my car (clipped the wire that enables sleepers by tapping headlight button twice so i can stop headlights anywhere i want instead of 100% up or down)

but anyways my left headlight retracts slightly faster than the right. its not amazingly noticable but anyone who looks at it for more than a couple seconds brings it up to me and I hate hearing it. I usually resort to popping the hood and fixing it until I have to turn them on or just drive with them down.

What do you guys think? Do i need new motors for them or is this a common electrical problem for wire-cut sleepers. If it is Im going to repair the wire and pay for the sleeper kit...

Common problem.

You eather have even headlights, or your car is kinda retarded in the head.

Lucky me, i got even ones =]

Dont think you can fix it, never heard of fixing it.

Try cleaning up the motor a lil first.

I guess you should've read more instead of just clipping a wire. Than you would have known that this prblem is as common a leaking fastback, or the stock bolster breaking on an S13 seat. Welcome to owning a 240sx.

That's why I prefer fixed headlamps instead of pop-up ones.

But pop-ups look 5 million times better than fixed....uneven or not

Well my question is if i fix the wire that i clipped ( which takes about 5 minutes to do ) and then I buy the sleeper light unit/controller/whatever it is will they be even or do you think my motors are still messed up
