FYI, S14 Zenki JDM fog light brackets don't fit on a USDM bumper (with pictures)

I'm sure some of you already know this but I thought this would help other people who are shopping for fog lights. S14 Zenki JDM fog light brackets don't fit on a USDM bumper. I found that out the hard way. I thought I found a great set on eBay but noticed the funny brackets. I tried to fit the extra piece somewhere but there was no where for it to go. I decided to drill the weld point and pull off the extra piece but then found out that the holes don't even line up. Finally, I bought another set of fogs with brackets, just for the brackets. I'll be posting the lights sans brackets once I stop being lazy.

Hope this helps out people. I know I searched for the problem and I found a super old thread about people that ran into the same problem but there wasn't a conclusive post in it...and now I can't find that thread anymore so I thought I'd make this new one. Go ahead guys, beat me up.

The difference is in the JDM and USDM Bumper support. The USDM omes bolt under the bumper support. There is no bumper support on the JDM chassis so it bolts on horizontally to the rail extensions on the car. Sucks you had to learn the hard way. You can probably get away with selling the fog lights without the brackets.

Sorta OT but prompted by your picture: Why are used JDM parts always marked with pink?

Ya, you can cut the ends off the bumper support and bolt them directly to the framerails if you had to, but otherwise we've known this for a quite awhile. Even seeing a picture tells you they wouldn't work.
