I "had" this deck and it was awesome, no skip ever, easy mp3 controls, I work at best buy and Got it stolen outside of the parking lot....I thought it would be safe next to the porche gt and the new lexus 350 but even though its costa mesa, or the OC I still got punked, anyhow this is an awesome deck.

I emailed the guy yesterday and he said it was sold. :(

Btw, those who have/had this unit, how is the equalizer? I was thinking about getting the CDA-9856 new but was a little disappointed to see that there are only bass and treble adjustments (even though they have adjustable frequencies and levels).

Sold. Thanks for all the interest.

I have the 9856 now, and yeah it only has bass/treble controls. Reason I got the 9856 is it is MUCH faster and better at controlling the iPod. However, if you are a hardcore sound guy...I would recommend the 9853 over the 9856 solely because of all the adjustability there is. It really was an awesome head unit.
