Here we go again...

Knocks Offs = SHIT!

Don't buy anything knock off, just save up and buy the real thing. Yes, some times you end up just paying for a name. Most times though, you are paying for quality control and actual research and development.

Here is a better explanation to what ThatGuy said.

Inside the SSQV there is a rubber diaphram that is setup like a cone but not on that exagerated (sp?) of a degree along with a metal disc. In the fake pieces the diaphram is of lesser quality and with little time and sometimes without even using it, the diaphram straightens out which creates a boost leak in the IC system. Also, the metal ring inside the BOV is of lesser quality material and begins to create rust spots on itself.

"Knock-off = shit" because of the lesser quality materials used.

If you must purchase this to save yourself some money, go right ahead, and hopefully you will learn sooner than later. We are here to show you the right way. Pay attention to what the veterans have to say because I know I have been where you are lots of times and it just did not get through my head for 3 years of buying some crap parts and sadly enough wasting my hard earned money. Yes it does cost 2, 3, 4 times as much sometimes, but if you can't afford it right now, wait a little longer and save up more $$$. Personally, now I have a much better idea what to get and what not to get. Finally, I am more patient when it comes to buying the right part the first time that will last for a long time.

when i first got my knock-off it didn't seem to blow off very well. couple weeks after the install, the whistling insert flew out on the highway, and was never found again. good news is this: after a year+ of using the blow off, it seems to be working better than ever. and doesn't leak. sounds much better without the insert. i also payed 100 for mine, and got it from japandy on ebay. he supposedly sells the "best knock offs". lol
