so i was driving to school and all the sudden my clutch pedal started acting up, it wouldnt pop back out very far but i could still engage and shift, i wasnt really worried and i figured it was the spring or something and id look at it later ( i was already late to class). well a couple minutes later when i pushed in the clutch pedal it just stayed there, and it wouldnt come back at all, i could tell something broke and that it wasnt just stuck, well luckily i was in neutral so i just coasted to the side of the road and had to push it into a parking lot ( man i felt stupid) i looked under the dash and i could see that the little metal piece that attaches to the pedal had broke, so i had it towed to a shop and the guy who looked at if for me had never seen anything like this before, and this guy knows his stuff ( he used work on race cars), the rod that was connected to the pedal (not the actual pedal, but the rod that the pedal pushes-idk what its called?) was broke into three pieces! i dont know if you guys have heard of this happening before but i sure havent, just welded it back together and now its A.O.K

Very unusual, I would think originally it was the clutch slave. But since something physically broke, not sure about what would cause that. What was the fluid level like?

so basically.. the metal piece that connects clutch master to clutch pedal broke?

Never heard of that... wow.. though it's a CHEAP replacement... home depot would have done the trick.... maybe $0.49 plus sales tax??
