I contacted the person who's in charge of the Silvia club, and he has his own business for buying and selling Silvia parts from Japan. He gave me some good prices. let me know if any of you want these, and if you need other parts, I will ask him. But I am having problems translated part names.
All these are used, unless it says new, and I will charge you exact shipping. All prices in USD
S15 steering wheel with airbag-$420
S15 shift knob-$170 not sure about this price
S13 headlights-$300
Mine's ECU for redtop-$450
S15 HID headlights +hood+fenders+bumper-$1100
S13 folding mirror-$110 (with switch)
Skyline S body front brakes-$260 fits S14
S13 LSD-$180 Let me know if you got ABS, manual or auto
S14 Nismo LSD, not assembled-$350
S13 circle tails, new-$420
S14 seats-$550 for a pair, say Silvia on it
S14 SR20DET, he said about $700 for me, but it's probably too hard to ship
he couldn't get 180sx windows, or the center tail panel, or metal headgasket.
He has lots of body kits.

The shipping fee you pay is the exact shipping that cost me. I am not really getting a profit yet, because I just want to get it started, and as I go, I will add my profit into the prices.

When you say LSD dou you expect to get the pineapple and the internals or just the internals?? I am just curious because The pinapple and internals are more than 70lbs and you can not ship anything into the states throught the USPS that weighs more than 70lbs. It is difficult.

After thinking about it, shipping a LSD is just really difficult. Anyone has any idea who to use to ship huge or heavy items?
I will contact the guy today again, and find out more about the questions you asked.
AZN GTR, out of curiosity, are you natively from HK and do you speak cantonese? If not, do you go there often?

Ok, I made many calls this morning asking everyone about shipping. Then, I forgot that my parents have their own business doing export import. So they helped me find out, and shipping isn't all that bad. However, if someone buys something, they might have to pay custom tax, which I couldn't find out how much, and pick it up at the pier. I am still think how to work things out. So there's that.
I got price for S15 headlights with HID, used, only about $500 plus shipping.
S15 whole front clip is $5000, with air bags too.
How much do S13 folding mirrors usually cost in the states?
Regarding engines, what's the most ideally complete SR20det you can get? With transmission and ECU and what else?
Would people buy just the engine?
I am thinking about this a lot, and I am trying to get information about everything and work things out. Thank you for answering my questions.

People I am telling you it is very difficult to ship an LSD due to the weight factor. The USPS will not take anything over 70lbs. The guts of an LSD are fine for shipping 45~63lbs two way, locking, three way etc. Well if you want to take time to stripp every pinapple down to the guts go ahead that is the only way I could do it. The time and the money Go ground shipping Hong Kong has UPS and FED Ex but $$$$$$ will come into play. That is a big part of the reason overseas performance parts are expensive Shipping. That is why they hire carriers. I was going to do what SR20man was going to do because my wife work at the land transportation office of Japan. Long story short strip them down and mail them is ok Full pineapple is bad.
I am not trying to discourage him but I lost alot of money with LSD's (My own fault and poor planning)

Thanks a lot, but damn, I have to find out how to say all those in Chinese, or at least most of them.
This guy is bringing me to the biggest junkyard in HK this week, every he gets all his parts to sell, and these crashed cars all come from Japan. I will find out more on the LSDs then and take pictures of stuff. He called me today and said if I was interested in a RB25, and he said it goes right into a Silvia, which I thought you guys said need some mods to. So I am not sure.
Shipping a LSD probably isn't all that hard if you do it by ship, the only problem is that I can only ship them to places near the ocean, because it needs to be picked up. My parents told me a lot of info on that, since they do import export business, but I can't fully translate what they said. They said the people in the US will have to go to some agent and ask them to clear the item from custom for you. And you have to pay tax. They said that's how their business works, so anyone knows what those agents are called?

You can setup something with freight forwarding company's that will package your product up on pallats, and take care of shipping it for you. They will deal with bringing it over-seas, and then load it up on a truck, and send it directly to where ever in the U.S. Also, expect customs to take a few days in checking your products in.
So, what would be the price on a s-14 sr20det complete with tranny, ecu, everything (just leave out the shipping)? I can take care of getting that part taken care of if you can just get me some sort of price for the engine and stuff.

Ok, for shipping, I use www.myyellow.com, I think they ship internationally and to different terminals in US, lots of them too. The agent you're refering to are "brokers" that handle customs. They make sure the packages are ok to come into the states and all. Or takes the responsibility of it. OH yeah, and myyellow.com find them for you, just adds up to the total shipping. Call them up!

I am also intrested in the s-14 Sr20de(T) motor. Make sure it has a turbo and its not the sr20de motor because s-14's came with those too. my email is
[email protected] email me when you find out what the engine consists of and if the engine was running. when you look at the motor check to see if the motor turns. by turning the crank with a socket wrench. Look to see if there are any broken parts or leaking oil. from the bottom or from the turbo. Check to see if there is any rust around the Waterpump. Rust indicates a water leak from the water pump and that motor could have overheated and messed up the head. Those are some characteristics of a possible BAD MOTOR. I am intrested in a motor though. I am located in Garland, Tx 75044 for shipping

I am only posting about shipping with ups. I used to work in ups and I have load packages up to 170 lbs, so yes you can ship about 150lbs. However, shipping internationally is different, and I am sure that there is a weight limit because I don't recall loading anything heavier than 90lbs in an international truck. I could be wrong, but international shipping is generally more restricted. I hope this helps in the shipping portion of the topic.
