Apparently I don't,

I was having a nice sleep, then out of nowhere I someone starts banging on my front door and ringing my door bell, so I get up and my sister goes down to see who it is.

Who else could it be at this hour? of course its the police. So they ask for me and I'm wondering what the hell I did, so they tell me the toronto police department recovered my car, which I had no idea was stolen. They also caught the people who stole it.

Apparently, these 2 guys were driving like complete morons and the cop pulled them over, saw the ignition was punched and bam, they were in handcuffs.

My car was at my mechanics getting a tune up and my turbo oil return line replaced as it was leaking. It was locked up in the compound at the shop and blocked in by a few cars, and big gate.

It turns out they broke into the cars blocking it in, moved them and then got my car out. So that ruled out that it was just a joy ride.

Both of my s13's were there side by side, my other one wasnt touched, it was the faster one, both had sr's, but that one was blown. So im pretty certain someone knew before hand.

These idiots were caught, and my car suffered some damage. 2 of my fn01rc's are bent, my ignition was punched, and my bumper is all scuffed up.

The car is currently sitting at a police impound, getting forensic tests done on them for some reason, even though the people who stole the car were caught :ugh:

Good thing my insurance covers theft, so im being fully compensated. I was thinking of grabbing some volks to replace the fn's, and a boomerang alarm system, I can take that chance again.

Im actually suprised, the police actually did some really good work. This has changed my whole perspective on them.

Good work.

So, anyone you might know or affiliated to the shop?
This is the reason I don't really trust any place to do work on my car let alone leave it with them for any extended period of time. Anyone that stops by can see what you have - great for thieves.
Good to hear you are being taken care of and that cops were of help.

94ccOrd - I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I parked my car on the street.

dammm glad to hear you got your car back in somewhat of a good shape. this is scary hearing this happends in toronto. knowing its only 3 hours from my place :( im soo glad i got an alarm on mine and i still turn the alarm on when its inside the garage at home. and when im sleeping i always turn the house and garage alarm on as well, so i will know asap when someone opens any door.

so did the police tell you who stole your car? or did they pull somesort of bs saying its a privacy act that protects them?

Glad you got your car back man. Here in Arizona, six 240s were stolen in a six week time frame. Scary shit dude. Time to buy a good alarm.

The shop insurance should cover your car. I would hit them up before trying to make your insurance to pay as it was on thier property and it was suppose to be safe gaurded.

I live in irvine i park my car in the garage i lock the garage but before that i take out my wheel take out some spark wires. Then i have a cable to secure my car to a post in the garage. ITs one of those thick metal post they have so you dont run thru the garage if you try to.
If i could id put poisonous snakes in my car run a cable thru all my rims. And fill the garage with cyanide gas.

I hope its in front of my house where I left it. This sucks though or the people getting there car jacked. 240's are so easy to steal, All you need is a wire hanger to open the door in like 30 seconds. (only reason I know is cuz ive locked my keys in the car a couple times). Too bad we dont have security like BMW or Mercedes. Those thing are really hard to steal if you can even do it.
