I took appart my center console because Ive got a few things that are not working and I found a few connectors that I dont know what are for.

the white connector on the right is the hazard, is the white one on the left for the rear window defroster? I dont have a defroster switch so I wouldnt know.
what about the yellow wire and the red wire. They look like they were added in for something aftermarket that is no longer there.

Last one. The black connector at the bottom and the white one are for the cig lighter, but what about the black one on the top?

Does anyone know what the connectos I listed are for? This is in an '96 240sx by the way. Thanks.

uh, which one?

Am I correct in assuming that the red and yellow wires in the first pic are not stock and that I can just pull them out?

blue wire could be a remote turn on wire for an amp or what not.

You're joking right? Of course they are not stock. You think Nissan leaves a bunch of random, bare wires behind the dash?

First pic is hazard and defrost switches, all that extra BS is just that, cut it out and throw away.
Bottom pic, single pin plug is the slave audio dimmer lead.

Of course Nissan doesnt leave wires laying around. But, I just bought this car and it came with an aftermarket deck and its missing a couple center console pieces and I just wanted to make sure what was needed and what wasnt before I started pulling stuff out. Thanks guys.
