Oil Pressure Problem?

Ok, heres the deal. I have a 1996 240SX SE, changed the oil about 300 miles ago, new oil filter and everything. When I accelerate hard (not even WOT) my oil temp gauge drops as if I dont have any pressure. It starts dropping right before 3000RPM and at 4000RPM, the needle is at the very bottom of the gauge. I already checked for leaks and I am not leaking anywhere (that I can see). Could this be an oil pump problem or what?

Hmm..so your oil temp. gauge drops and this has what to do with oil pressure?
Put an external oil pressure gauge on and tell me what the pressure is at idle and at 3000rpm...(idle should be 10-15psi and 10psi for every 1000rpm)

Well, what would it have to do with? I figured it would be pressure since I highly doubt my oil temp is dropping during acceleration. I forgot to add, as soon as it shifts, the gauge goes back up.
