I have some rims kinda like these and i was wondering how can i make the lip chrome rather than blue. I dont want to make the rims look all ghetto looking and i want to ask around before i mess the rims up.

rims must be dipped to be chromed... i dont know find a shop that has the expirence to mask off the inner piece....or TAKE THE WHEELS APART if those are the 2 piece advans...im no conuisuer..but then have them dipped.. if you just want a stainless like chrome finish go about it by sanding or stripping it down then slowly polishin it out with lower grit sandpaper and alot of mothers polish

By chromed, do you mean polished?
Because imo it would look like ass and eventualy flake off if it's chrome.
If you don't want to do it, have a wheel shop sand down the blue lip and polish the lip. That should give you the look you desire.

Yea I want to polish the lip, i was afraid that by putting "polish" in the title of the thread that people would misinterpret the thread and think its "cleaning " the rims.
But how much do u think it would cost for a wheel shop to do that for me?

call around im sure theirs a ton of wheels shop out thier in cali
or ...SEARCH
the lip on a sa3 would be near impossible... to polish or chrome for that matter... because the wheel is 2 piece (welded in place) and the spoke design is so deep, it would be impossible to get between the spoke and barrel enough or deep enough to get all the blue off... and to get a 2 or 3 inch polishign wheel in there would be imposssible even if you did get it all sanded down... thats hwy beat up Sa3R's dotn go for shit, because they are almost impossible to refinish (besides half assed)....
It's pretty expensive because it takes a long ass time. We polished my brothers wheels by jacking up the beater and just putting it in drive with the wheels mounted. The wouldn't work for you though, so you should just pay someone. It's not really worth it unless you have like super rare/nice wheels.
EDIT: byhi is right. They would be very hard to re-finish...

well theres nothing money and time wont solve...... its either gonna cost you lots of money to refinish them or lots of time. you decide. everything is possible.
the way i see it is , life is all about how much money and time you have and also who you know. anyways good luck on refinishing them. if you do end up getting them done make sure you post up some pics

I hand polished the lips on my Advans. Mine where black with a blue lip at one point. I used alot of aircraft stripper, and polishing products.
You can see them in my sig. If you need more pics just ask.
