Ok, so i was originally set on getting a RPS or illegal garage street clutch kit and toda flywheel. i push about 250 WHP and after installing the clutch (since mine is starting to go bad) id like to work on gettng hte car up to 300 whp or so. I daily drive it but also want to take it to drift at the track, so i need something thats streetable, not insanely stiff like ACT single plate clutch, but can also hold up to abuse of the track. so i was originally set on RPS or illegal garage clutchs, but i got an offer from someone for a brand new toda flywheel and clutch kit for a decent price, about 150 more than an illegal garage or RPS clutch kit assuming i still buy the toda flywheel.

so now im wondering if its worth the extra 150 bux to get a toda clutch since theyre a very reputable company (no offense to RPS or illegal garage. they have a great rep so far, but not quite as big as toda, thats all) or if its just a waste of 150 bux and just mix n match the parts.

anyways, if anyones had any experience driving a car with a toda clutch in it, id be very interested in some feedback. please let me know.
thanks!

True.
A bit tedious/sensitive/noisy for a daily driver since it's a non-sprung clutch and light flywheels suck in stop and go traffic but you get use to it. Great pedal feel and not stiff at all almost oem.

i recommend Competition Clutch. They're products are quality and are quite popular in several race cars and drag cars as a matter of fact. The clutch pedal is softer than oem, which is the greatest part :)

And you can buy the whole set-up for $500-600. I just got the chromoly flywheel and stage 4 clutch for mine. :werd:

never had any trouble at ALL with my lightened flywheel for stop and go. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

im going to go for the blitz kit. ive heard its noisy but im sure it wont be bad since my exhaust is already really loud.
i ended up finding an even BETTER deal on the blitz setup than the toda one, and being made by ORC means good stuff to me. Im trying to retire my car to a track only. if i can get the $ after the clutch install for a 91 cressida.
thanks guys for your input.
