s15 turbos have a Inco turbine wheel and a divider between the wastegate and turbo exuast, full ball bearing and can withstand more boost. s14 does not have either of this but, is the same size.

s14 turbo is the GT28,, the s15 turbo is GT28r. just google those two turbos and compare.
