okay well i have yet to powder coat my calipers. i just want your oppinion on what color i should go with. Car is an S13 White fastback and i will be on 17" bronze mb weapons. the Calipers are ECR33 Calipers, i was thinking either red or black, leaning towards black with the nissan lettering showing through in brushed aluminum. either that or red with the lettering the same or shaved completely off. open to any other ideas. Give me your oppinion. thanks

OOh, silver calipers would look nice on that setup.

Stay the hell away from red, thats just seen everywhere.

yeah red is over done otherwise i would go for it cause i think white bronze and red are a sweet combo. i was thinking maybe a dark grey, charcoal color maybe a little sparkly(like the charcaol evo color), with red lettering....

Yeah is nice, but he will have a white car with bronze rims. The gold will look out of place.

yeah i thought about doing a black wrinkle coat, but then i thought again for cleaning off break dust. i like the charcoal with black lettering idea. or even charcoal with brushed lettering. if all else fails i will go high gloss black with brushed lettering. thoughts of red still come to mind. maybe i need to see what it will look like. hmm, if go red maybe i'll do a deeper red. perhaps more on the lines of maroon

I went with black and yellow lettering. You should try yellow with black lettering. :)

How about a regular steel grey with black lettering, nothing to draw a mound of attention to it?

Black calipers look much smaller compared to lighter colors. I had mine black but later changed them to silver. You can check it on my cardomain (4th page) to see the difference.

My car was gunmetal with silver wheels, I went with the classic red and brushed metal combo, it stood out really well. I sandblasted then used dupli-color engine enamel rattle can in ford industrial red, it was pretty damn red. I think something along the lines of a deep red like you said or the charcol with silver sounded pretty cool too.

I like the charcoal with red lettering idea...I am still leaning toward a deep blood red color. any pics of that?? i was thinking black would make the caliper look smaller... keep the ideas coming. I appreciate the enthusiasm. thanx!

i painted my z32's with the teal/blue/greenish with the project mu color because my rotors are the project mu 2 pieces...

i love the color~ ... i thought it would look real bad but seriously ... it's hella nice

(btw i had my friend at a shop to match the color, but it's still off by a little bit according to lighting but hell... it's nice )

i painted mine black and i'm fine with it.
While the paint was still wet i took some brake cleaner and a towel to wipe down the nissan letters back to the silver. A cue tip would work great too.

wheel paint for front rims, then just held newspaper around caliper and sprayed the caliper.. looks good.. eventually did the same to teh rear . Whos gonna give you a trophy for your brake detail? bound to get scratched up if you like playing wiht your car.

Id jus use whatever I have laying around the house..
as long as its not something off the wall that doesnt match the car, then it should be ok.. Otherwise Id perfer black..
