bought a turbo and want to make sure it is the one i ordered

a t28 of some sort.
That's about the best anybody is gonna be able to tell you.

iirc, that is a 800hp turbo!


where did you order it from?

looks like the hybridynamics gt28 special they have. I will call steve, he will know in seconds..

yups, 800hp on 7pounds of boost.. sounds about right.

It was suppose to be a GT28RS, but most GT28RS I have seen have a 3inch inlet.

yeah, but that looks alot smaller in the pic, maby nothing to compare it too thats why.

That is what i was refering to. Yeah.. with turbo's its all about the looks :duh:

i talked to the shop i bought it from. They said it is a GT28RS, but has a different compressor housing, so the inlet looks different from the GT28RS i have seen (i thought they all had 3in inlets)

thanks for the tips. I guess I will know if it is a GT28RS once the car is running.

well. Now we get into a VERY VERY BIG DEAL.

That compressor does compromize flow. It spools a little faster, but peak output is pretty affected. If you wanted the 3 inch inlet, you should return it. There will be different performances. Everyone is using that one now, because it is "bolt on"

I was thinking about writing it all out and then im like hey why not just link you guys right to the source... here you go, covers a lot of stuff. When im unsure of my memory I usually check this website.
