actually, you should wait until you aren't low on cash.
OR, you should come up on some.

here's a tip. save up. don't half ass it. you will end up spending more cash in the long run. just sit and be impatient and wait until you can afford the good shit. the handling and things you learn will be much better.

Yep, if you don't have the cash, you don't need to lower the car. Do it right.

haha thanks everyone it sounds A LOT smarter to do that i guess.
i just wnat the look for the moment not the performance.but when i think about it it sounds smarter

then maybe you should grow up a bit and realize that having the look but doing a piss poor job in the process makes you a tool

if HS13KLS wants to lower the car for the look, then thats his prerogative, if you cant help him then a reply is unnecessary.

i dont necessarily agree with lowering the car just for looks, but its not my car.

and the cheapest way that i would reccomend lowering your car is with Tein S-Tech springs, which commonly go for around $150

Yeah, if it's just for looks who gives a rat's ass? Get something like Swift or Tein springs and be done with it. Not everyone is into tracking their cars.

cut your springs if u want that super tyte jdm lowered look, it'll handle like shit, but who cares its lowered for cheap :) :sarcasm: dude theres no point to skimping out on cheap shit, just save up and get a decent setup, or later down the road you'll be looking for another setup and will have wasted your money on this one. Do it right the first time.

here is what i have done. I bought a set of eBay coilovers, a set of konis, and a set of 10 inch springs from any circle track vendor. I then machined a spacer to fint my sleeves onto my konis and keep them from wandering around the perch.

coilovers-45
konis-700
spacer-15
springs-100

konis - 700

i think you already went over his budget....

lowering your car gives, so to speak, performance because it will handle better. it gives you both if done right. so you'll get both regardless... AGAIN IF DONE RIGHT.

and ias soon as i saw ur making baby jesus cry i thought about talladega nights. LOL!

simply lowering a car does not make it "handle better" if it blows the stock shocks and fucks up damping.

cutting springs or installing POS springs on stock shocks is informing the world that you know nothing about cars but want to seem like you do.

if u want to false adulation tell some middle school kids you have an SR and watch them get in line to kiss your ass

otherwise be fuckin glad you got a car and leave it be until you have some knowledge and cash to apply it

thats why i say, if done right! :D

basically what everyone is saying, save up, do research on lowering and suspension, do it right!

have a great day!

Bravo for being 17 and not a dickhead. Seriously.

My tip for you is just drive you're car a LOT. I wrecked my first 3 cars and THEN when i learned to drive I got a car I wanted to fix.
