what do you mean by *modified? I can just order this and drop into my 97 240sx? I had a walbro before and promise one with a sock for the s14 but was not given one.

either way I order one for my s13 .. let me know about the s13 situation.

Thank you for your order. The S14 fuel pump is not listed as an application from Walbro but since it was a popular demand we did some R&D and added a larger and angled filter to the 400-766 kit to make it reach fuel from the bottom of the tank. Hope this information helps. Your order will go out on Monday and you'll have it by Wednesday. Thank you for choosing Express Fuel Pumps.

same price? or cheaper?

also, i can't decide if i should 190 or 255. this would be going on a stock ka

ExpressFuelPumps.com

Same price. They are both the same size and shape, just different internals. If your going to leave your car stock, go for the 190lph. If you think your going to add performance parts to it in the future, go with the 255lph high pressure. In most cases, all extra fuel is sent back to your gas tank so a high pressure fuel pump doesn't hurt to have.

As of September 7th, all S14 orders include the larger and angled sock from the Prelude kit.

My roomate ordered the S14 kit and it looks just like the S13 kit. I was expecting something different to be included, in particular a longer sock. I guess I'll be reusing the stock sock during my install. If you're gonna order from this company, defintely request the longer sock, because the regular S14 kit doesn't come with it, so you're stuck with a questionable install or reusing the stock sock, like I did. I must admit I was pretty disappointed that the S14 kit was advertised as something different than the S13 kit, but the expressfuelpumps.com guy has been accomodating with remedying this situation for me.

We can include the larger sock for $3.00 more. Just use coupon code ZILVIA2 instead of ZILVIA and we will know what it's for.

I'm his roommate ^^^.
I ordered a fuel pump under the impression that it was all I needed for an S14 application, and as he ^^^ explained, it certainly is not what you guys had lead me to believe. Anyway, I'm curious as to what "modifications" you guys did to the kit I actually got to make it "fit" the s14. Please contact me so we can work something out, thanks.

Should have been by the 7th or 8th. The smaller filter will still work with the S14, however, the longer one I was recently told works a bit better. We have been selling these fuel pumps for a very long time and never had an issue with the S14 fuel pumps before the one with turtl631.

turtl631 used the stock stock, from what I hear is a hassle. The longer sock (which we have received) is a much more elegant solution. Thanks for sending us the long socks, good to see businesses that take care of their customers. Including the long one w/ the s14 kit is definitley a good solution.

Is the longer sock the one that would come with the 400-865 install kit in order to angle it correctly for an S14 tank, or is it still sitting at a 90* angle in relation to the pump like the s13 sock?

I was told to use the 400-826 Accord filter. The 400-865 filter is for the legend. Please confirm based on the pictures below:

People have been using the 865's for a while after it was determined by TY to work (the 865 was listed for a prelude then), and definitely better than the S13 orientation in an S14 tank. I haven't seen anyone use the 826, but it's possible that is closer than to stock orientation than the 865.

I want to order the setup from you guys, but just want to be sure I won't have any scavenging issues at lower fuel levels under sloshing conditions and that the right package is out there for everyone.

ExpressFuelPumps.com
09-20-2006, 03:48 PM
We have been sending the 865 filters with all S14 orders since this matter was brought to our attention earlier this month. Judging by the picture, if you think the 826 will reach lower into your gas tank without hitting the bottom then we can start sending those instead.

No problem, we have tons of these filters and kits in stock so switching things around is no big deal.

We are also now offering $20.00 cash back for buyers who email us a few images of their Walbro fuel pump installation. You can view the full details at http://www.expressfuelpumps.com/installation-cashback.php. Although we mention this discount is only applied once per vehicle, we are willing to make a few exceptions for the 240sx until it appears on our excluded list.

Imagine that, a Walbro high pressure fuel pump at your door for $64.99... We're going to get in big trouble for this so order yours within the next few days and get your pictures in within a week or two to be safe ;)

We have just received several genuine OEM Nissan O-Ring gaskets that go in between the fuel sending unit (FSU) and the gas tank on the 1989-1994 240SX. The old rubber gasket from this year has been known to expand after taking off the fuel sending unit to replace the fuel pump (keep in mind this vehicle is 10-15 years old). This makes it very hard and frustrating to put it back into place after installing the pump. Many 240SX owners either order this part from their Nissan dealership (costing around $20) or attach the fuel sending unit back to the gas tank without the gasket, causing the possibility of it rusting to the tank or passing a gas odor. This part is now available separately on our 89-94 240SX Walbro fuel pump order page (http://www.expressfuelpumps.com/Nissan-Walbro-Fuel-Pumps/Nissan-240SX-1989-1994-Fuel-Pumps) for $11.77 ($10.00 for Ziliva.net members).

To add this item to your fuel pump order, click the back button after adding the fuel pump to your shopping cart and add the “OEM Nissan FSU-Tank Rubber Gasket”. This will bring the total shipped cost to $94.99 as opposed to $84.99 without the gasket.

You must select credit card as your payment method in the three radio box options. None are selected originally so if you do not select one yet enter in your credit card information, we receive it as a money order/check order and await payment. I apologize for this misunderstanding. We changed the default to credit card to avoid this in the future.
