Ok, i would hear this here and there, but never realy got details about what the warranty covers and how to put it to use...

I emailed KYB asking if they rebuild their products like other companys and they said they dont do any type of rebuilding, thats all they told me...nothing about the warranty.:hammer:

So whats the details?

Thanks

KYB products have a Limited Lifetime Warranty. This warranty applies to the original purchaser of the product with a dated proof of purchase. The warranty does not apply to product that is misapplied, abused, or used in racing or commercial applications. The warranty is void if the product is used on excessively lowered (over 1.3")(Sport drops) vehicles or if an Aftermarket coilover shock system is used. Please contact your place of purchase, or a local KYB retailer, for warranty qualification and/or exchange.

You call that a warranty?...

If you replace crap with crap, it'll still be crap, just newer crap.

Why not upgrade?

Their warranty sounds like shit. Might as well not use it since you really can't do anything with it.

yea, finding a company with an actual life time warranty is pretty rare, so just do like every1 else said and upgrade

there's a reason why you got them with sportlines for $65 bucks

just save up and get new / better suspension

with all the entry level coilovers on the market it really isnt that hard to get into a set of coilovers with all the functions, bells, and whistles.

i remember back in the day when you couldn't find a good coilover cheaper than $1200.

typically warranties, especially in the automotive / aftermarket segment, won't be what it sounds like you expect.

as a manufacturer it would be very hard to put a lifetime warranty on something like a shock, because the owner could abuse it, install it wrong, take it offroading, throw it off a building, etc. if you wanted a LIFETIME warranty on it, you would end up eating that cost, and that's not going to happen.

pretty much anytime you buy auto parts just consider it un-warrantied once you install it. it would be great if manufacturers WOULD warranty them in situations like these, but then it would just end up being too costly and the manufacturers would not survive.

yeah i been in the process of building up my coilover funds.

Just happend that my engine decided to crap out on me, and i had to dump most of the money into another one.

Damn i hate driving with these stock ass shocks, cant take corners for shit.
