Ok, so I have been having cold start issues lately so I took it upon myself clean the IACV. I took it out (wasn't that dirty), cleaned it, sprayed some carb cleaner in it, and also sprayed carb cleaner in the MAF. Right afterwards, everything was ok!!!! I mean, the cold start problem was tehre, but it didn't die on me at all. So today I was driving and I got stuck in crazy traffic and my car just kept on dying! It sucked so bad. So what could be the prob? It just doesn't make sense b/c it was fine yesterday after I put everything back together.

Carb cleaner /= MAF cleaner.
Go get some real MAF cleaner, and try that.

I don't think I saw any MAF cleaner at the parts store.
And one more thing, I just played w/ it a little more and now there is a stumble at around 2k.

I got the same stumble. Feels like a honda with V-Tec once it gets past 2k right? *a

eh, not so much.
I do have an update though. I shook the IACV wiring a little and the idle went back to normal. took it out for a drive and when I got to a stop sign it died again. Brought it back home and I tried doing the same thing w/ the iacv connector/wiring but to no avail. So apparently I fucked that up when I took it off. So do u guys think it's safe to say that I need a new connector?

Probably old kinked wires losing connection. Check your coolant temp sensor wiring and shake it up to see if it helps your cold start as well.

hmm, I'll take a look at that tomorrow.
And apparently, all I had to do was adjust the IACV screw one more time. I adjusted it yesterday and thought that's all I had to do but I guess more fine tuning was in order. So I'm not back at square one w/ the cold starts. But at least I can still drive the car now.
thanks

you shouldn't have sprayed carb cleaner in the maf. the maf is electrical and is very sensitive. there is a good chance that you could've messed it up.

^^^I've used carb cleaner on the maf before and it's fine. I've read elsewhere that the differnce in cleaners is a coating on TB's. The carb cleaner will take off the coating on the newer electronic TB's. Dunno how true it is though so take it with a grain of salt.
