i was just wondering where to get some oem spray paint cans. i want to paint my lip kit the same color, but experimented with 3 off the counter brands (krylon, duplicolor, and automotive something) and were no match to my paint color. ive researched the oem paint (mine is sandstone beige metallic-kg4, i believe), but there isnt much info on where to get a can or two of the the stock oem paint. ive searched for the name of the color, but no luck. all that pops up is some touch up paint pens that is not really helpfull when i want to paint more than a scratch mark. itll be great if someone knows.
also if that is not possible, around what price would a normal body shop paint them for? thanks.

Yellow pages. Look up car paint stores. Or walk into any body shop and ask.

the duplicolor oem paint in a can isnt too bad @ 5 bucks a pop. had no issues matching my paint.

tried 3 of the autozone/pepboys paint...almost it but not yet...2 of them a bit too dark and on was not metallic enough and too gold. damn i wanna try the paintscratch ones, but they r so expensive..im need like 5 bottles i think. but thanks for the info...i might as well just try the $55 paint job.

shit find a friend with a spray gun and get a lil bit (i think the smallest you can go is qt) of primer, which you could prob just use rattle can primer, and a qt of paint and spray it. and you'll have left over to spray anything else you might come across.

body shop is your best bet.. shouldnt be too expensive if you nail a right shop.. btw, what kind of front is that? it looks nice from the side.. just wondering if you have any more pics from the front?

its a bings front lip. i cracked it almost in half when i was on my way to pick my bro up from SFO about 4 months ago on gay highway 32 when they were doing road construction. i have pics in the pic thread, but i dont know which page. i guess just click my name and look at where i posted. i think it should show up.

Agreed. Great for small projects such as lips, spoilers, mirrors, etc.

just curious, have you priced a paint shop yet? seems like it could be cheaper than 25$ rattle cans. i had half my truck painted an oem color for
<300$

havent gotten quotes yet cuz im not ready to paint yet. my lip is still broken, and i am still broke. also im slowly piecing a turbo kit so all my money is going towards that right now, since ive already gotten my body pieces for the looks. its only paint and i can deal with not having it painted for a while. id just rock the pignose lip till then. hopefully ill finish everything up by the end of the year, well i plan to anyways.

This is good if you want a solid color paint job. Now there are a few metalic paints out there you can use...however to get good results you need to use a Wagner HVLP electric sprayer.

i have a local body shop that does it for me... but it's like $30-$40 a can... :-X
I used to use that paint on my old car that was ruby pearl... but now since I have a black car... good ol' duplicolor or rustoleum work fine.
