Each Maaco is different. Look at cars getting a similar level paint job as yours and judge by that. My old car was Macco'd and it came out fine. Some have had bad experiences, just don't get the cheapest one and check out your local ones work.

I'll tell you about fucking Maaco. Stay the fuck away. After my brother crashed his(then) car, he took it there. They did a shit ass job on my car, used wrong front side panels, bondoed shit they shouldn't have bondoed, didn't prep the car for painting properly(peeling in some places), and almost cost my brother his life because they WELDED a broken $35 piece together. On TOP of that, they let my brother drive off with the car knowing full well it wasn't in proper working order, the engine blew 10 miles down the road. I'm not going to get into how much THAT cost me. My car is currently being repaired, so Ican't post pics of every flaw those fuckers left on my car.... but here's a sample.

I'm going to cut my bitching short, believe me I could go on forever. For fuck's sake, PLEASE check out any shop you take your car to with the BBB, and check out their previous work.
I hope Maaco goes bankrupt.

the quality of the paint isnt the only thing that makes a good paint job..prep and layers is also...maaco does lowsy prep and only one layer....maybe if u ask them and pay more <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

I agree with MrSparkle, i have heard bad stories about Maaco paint jobs. their prep job is the thing that i have heard the most shit about but my friend has a maaco paint job and his isnt that bad so i guess it depends on the location and what exactly u ask them to do. i was going to get a maaco paint job beasue of money issues also but a friend i know can get me a paint job for a low price because he knows some guy. o well, if u decide to do the Maaco let us know how it comes out

if you sand and tape everything your self and bring the bumpers there off the car and put them back on your self ( the reason i say this is cause the paint everything on the car and they never hit under the lips) ask them to put 2 coats of clear than you can get a good paint job

Do you really want to place faith in a company that puts little to no effort into assuring that its franchises are operating properly and producing quality work? It seems like the people who run Maaco are throwing out franchise licenses to anyone who coughs up the cash with little regard as to how the shop is run. They're just sitting back and letting the dough roll in. Do yourself a favor and find a good local shop. Support the little guy. Xeroxed, vote with your dollars and don't encourage unethical business practices.

Has anyone heard of anything from Earl Scheib paint places. I always here there ad on the radio and was wonderning if anyone had any experiences or opinions on them. I want to get my ride painted pretty soon and was just curious. I think they are only located in SoCal, not sure. The link to their site is www.earlscheib.com/ (http://www.earlscheib.com/)

Macco didn't do that bad of a job on my car, But what you pay for is what you get. It's a crappy Paint job.. but it's good just to have a painted kit then drive around with two tone kit/car.
I would post pics but i don't have a hosted site.

They suck almost just as bad. There was only ONE good experience I've ever heard about an Earl Scheib. Unfortunately, this particular shop is over 2 hours away from where I live.
