Well I finished the workbench. Thing kicks ass, I used all 2x6 bracing and 4x4 posts to hold it up.

What are you talking about crooked? Didn't you know he lives on the side of a hill? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sigh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
Nice bench, too bad i can't make one <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
Cool! What material did you use for the top? Any guess on how much weight it can hold? Care to test it for my amusement? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
Only part I don't understand is the back... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/eh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':eh:'> and the little 1x1 in the middle of your bench <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

I was going to say the same thing. Hopefully the top is magnetic or something because you will be losing a hell of a lota screws and shit <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> Anyway I love working w/ my hands myself and I like stuff like that. Good job my friend

Yeah, it's actually because I took the picture with a friends digital camera. I'm guessing the lens is a little messed up or something. In person it's totally level. The walls of my garage are a little off, but not really bad.
The top of the bench is Dupli-Color spray-on bedliner. It's an awesome surface, i'm really glad I did it. The window into the other room was there before I put the bench in and my mom wanted to keep it there to help light the other room, so I got some inch thick finish wood and trimmed it out. Then I put 1/4 round molding all around the pegboard on the wall.
Also, the stud in the middle there is actually a 2x6. I put it there just for a little bit more support.
I'm not totally sure how much it could hold, but I'm willing to bet that it would have no trouble handling a transmission or maybe even an engine. I wouldn't mind testing it if it didnt' mean i'd have to break it :-D

the tools are all on the shelves on the left out of the picture <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
Hey, it looks good. Are you planning to hang tools off the back (board) thing, or is there another purpose for that?
I don't see a vice anywhere either; no work bench can be complete w/out one. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
