i searched, tried various recomendations and still nothing.
i've bled the system, bench bled the cmc, replaced the cmc, replaced the slave and i get very little pedal pressure and release fork is not engaging the clutch. the slave cylinder moves about a couple of mm's, but no more. this is the final stage in my 5 speed swap and i'm stuck. any ideas?

interesting. techincally when you depress the clutch, the fork is supposed to disengage the clutch. it could be your lines. maybe their is a kink or something. also check the free play on your clutch pedal.

there's no backpressure on the slave and it's almost fully extended. i'm pulling the tranny right now to imspect the tob and release fork. there's alot of play on the release fork and it feels like the tob came disconnected from the fork.
^that was earlier
alright, i fixed the release fork and i still had the same problem. i figured out that the slave was not applying enough pressure to the fork to disengage the clutch. so my buddy found another rod from a domestic slave and ground it down. trial and error left us with a working clutch. we drove around the block and discovered the clutch was slipping. we emoved the slave and ground down the rod again a little. one more trip around the block left us with no clutch slip. just as we pulled in i noticed a drop in pedal pressure and then the same scenario: depressed pedal, can't get into gear.
i'm running out of ideas.

hmm...what kind of lines are you running braided or hard lines?

S13 or S14? You still using the clutch dampner? Or did you disconnect it when you swapped everything out. If you're still using the clutch dampner, you've got air in the lines....you'll need to bleed it some more. Follow the procedures in the FSM for bleeding. Hope this helps...

Bypass the clutch damper, if your slave is only moving a few mm's the problem is in the fluid pressure or possibly your pedal adjustment but that shouldn't affect it much.
