Ok...so today after a long drive, I noticed my car making like a very low volume whining/grinding noise as im slowing to park. I roll down the windows to get a better listen while the car is parked(in neutral) and its a bit like a high pitched grinding/whining noise, I guess you could say it sounds a little like a starter does when a your motor wont turn over. Thing is...if i push the clutch in, It goes away completely...and as soon as I let it out, the noise comes back... If i put it in gear and let the clutch out(obviously car starts moving)The noise is still there.. Any ideas?? Any solid ideas would surely help..Thanks in advance.

Where is the noise coming from? Can you better pinpoint the location? Is it coming from the tranny? Does it do it in nutral? If so I would say your t/h bering is crapping out.

My first guess would be your throwout bearing, but i'm not sure that thats it.
Second would be something internal in the tranny.
When was the last time you changed your gear oil? Sounds like something in your tranny simply based on the fact that when you clutch in it goes away. Hard to say otherwise.
I have seen/had this happen when I clutch in at low speeds with my throwout bearing. This situation is sort of the opposite, as far as the noise going away when you clutch in, but still what comes to mind.

throw out bearing only makes noise when clutch pedal is down.
imo, it's probably something internal to your transmission. check fluid level, drain it and put in some fresh fluid. hopefully it'll quiet down a bit.

input shaft bearing, change your tranny oil. If that does'nt help, best bet is the swap trannys.

Yes...the noise is from the tranny..and yes it does it in Neutral.... The last time I changed my tranny fluid was about 6 months ago when i got the clutch changed and flywheel resurfaced, It also has a brand new clutch master and slave cylinder....Im gonna go ahead and change the fluid again...Thanks for the help guys.
Edit: What is a pilot bearing and what exactly does it do?

pilot bearing sits in the ass end of your engine. its basically support for the transmission input shaft.

Try and listen with the car moving and the clutch pushed in. Also try it in different gears. It'll help diagnosing it.

Pilot bearing. Is it the original tranny?
The pilot bearing should have some lubricant on it, after a long period of time, that lube gets worn and sometimes drys out, which can cause that sound.
I had the same sound in my s13. But whhen i changed out the clutch, pliotbearing, and throwout bearing, flywheel.
the noise then stopped.

I had a similar problem in my previous s14. Turned out to be the pilot bushing. Changed it out and the noise went away.
