ok heres whats going on. ever since my car has been running ever so often i will be cruzzing down the interstate at 70 blush.gif yea i know driving miss daisy! anyway at 2800-3200 rpms cruzzing my car will start spitting and spurtting. left of the throttle runs fine. get back into it does the same thing then i will just clean up and run fine. ok so i pulled the Mafs offer and cleaned it with electrical parts cleaner. put it back on ran fine for a few weeks. well today started that crap again!

update:
today on the drive to work running about 65mph i was watching the S-AFC and the afl reading was sitting about 9-10% well as im still driving on flat road cruzzing i notice the number the afl reading jumped to 18-25% and the bucking and spurttering started. got out of the throttle it cleaned up and went back down to 9-10% ran fine. so i went just above 3200 rpms afl readin was 10% or so ran fine started to let out of the throttle to get to 2800-3000 again ran there a few minutes and then jumped up to 23% or so on the afl reading! i also wondering if it was the TPS but i can see that

anyone have any ideas?

I have sorta the same problem, but it could be the fuel curve is different cause you cleaned your mafs. Secondly, did you mess around with your timing or anything like that? Cause that would cause the same problem.

Update yesteday evening

on the afc on sensor check the the tps reads .42-.425 when i push the throttle down it reads 4.1-4.3 when i drive down the road today i noticed that the reading on the thr % it hits 20-24% same as the afl% and sits there. im pulling everything off and clean it today and try and give it a chance

update this morning.

well last night i took it apart and got some arisol cleaner and sprayed out the MAFs added a boost gauge. got up this morning and drove to work. not one issue. drove 45 minutes to work and not once did it do that crap! at 65 mph i was pulling 8-10 of vacuum, afl10%, and th 12% ran perfect. i did another test on the couplers with started fluid no leaks no idle changed when sprayed. pull 20 of vacuum at idle.. so i have come to the conclusion its the MAFs so either my damn filter is letting dust through and those two little wires are getting crap on them or the MAFs is on it last leg. MAYBE?????????????????????????????????

Yah possible you are getting dust, remember to change filters every 2-3 oil changes especially if you have an HKS cause that thing starts breaking off if not. Also, make sure you are using MAFS cleaner. CRC and a lot of manufacturers make a specific spray for the MAFS. Make sure you use that
