I'll try a couple of the things he did in the video tonight or this weekend (If i have the time).. I haven't played in a while so I don't know the "physics" of the game well enough to say if a jump is too high/long then normal.

I need to bow down to that guy.

That's the level that I just cannot get through. I always get owned when those bars come out between the two walls, and get owned by that fish looking ship.

And to the guy who asked, basically, Ikaruga is a shooter game, duh, and you have the option to switch between "black" and "white" shields. When you're in "black" mode you can absorb all the black bullets and lasers and all that and is pretty much invincible against attacks by the black enemies, and same thing holds true for the "white" mode. However, if you were attacked by enemies in a different color you'll die. So like, if a black bullet hits you while you're in white mode, you die.

The scoring system is even more complex.

You get scored for every enemy you kill, yes, but to get high scores you must kill 3 enemies of the same color in as many strings as you can. It works like getting a strike in bowling, and it multiplies the more strings you can get. While it doesn't sound hard on paper, it's damn near impossible to carry out unless you've played the game a lot and have memorized the order and placement of the enemies when they come onto the screen. And also, the environment is moving and changing around you the whole time, while there are about a billion bullets on screen.

That game is retarded hard.
