I had a desire to play one of my all-time favorite games the other day (duke nukem 3D) and I while I was looking around I found that since the source code for the game has been relased some mods have been made that drastically update the playablity of this 9 year old game.
There are several ports of the game now that play nativley under windows with high res!
also you can now play on a LAN or the internet with TCP/IP
also, (the best part) there is a pack called the "XTR HRP" that replaces the old 2D sprites in the game with true 3D models..
here's a look:

anway, I'm getting my 4 computers set up so I can play against my roomates! I haven't had a "Beer and Duke Nukem" night since HS and look forward to having some fun with this again..
