Hey all, I am new to Zilvia, more like fresh meat, but I do have something to offer. I am a newer photographer looking for all makes and models of cars or trucks to shoot so I may enhance my ever growing profile. I am truly in love with 350 Z’s and would melt if I could have the chance to take pictures! So here is my offer, for $25 you can have 48 shots taken of your car or truck and I will process the photos onto a CD for your viewing and printing pleasures, along with a copyright release! So if you are interested call me and we can set something up. *edit* kAyLa I live in Lakewood Colorado but do travel in the Colorado area. I am also including some of my favorites so far! Check them out and even let me know what you think!

i dont think i would have picked a slideshow with compressed versions of my pictures to show off my talent behind the lense.......

i would be pissed if i spent 25bucks on a photoshoot, and the night pics had bad lighting.....

Well my pics would not load other wise if you click on them however you can see the whole photo! And the night photos were shot on a whim. I didn't even get paid to shoot those I just love to take pictures. Thanks for the comments! Oh and if you know how to put them on my post let me know!

Then why are you going to show photos that have been shot for free?

I am sowing the Blue Subie "Free" because the one time I didn't charge and was shooting off some photos I fell in love with the shot of the passenger side up against the garage door and loved the look. But like I said $25 for 48 shots comes out to like .50 or so cents a shot. So it makes for great practice and I charge now so I can cover developing costs! But hey like I said I am new and trying to get my name out there what not a better way then to charge cheap, have happy customers, and maybe even pick up some new ideas along the way!

I edited your phone number from the first post, this was done because it is not the greatest of ideas to release such information in such a public area of the forum. Exhange PM/IM and establish that your number is necessary, that way you won't receive calls from hungry drunken Zilvians at 4am.

If you are as you say, a "newer photographer", you shouldn't charge anything. You'd be better off just swapping your time for the time of the car owner. ESPECIALLY since you're trying to build a portfolio. Remember that they're doing you a favor as much as you're doing them a favor.

As far as criticism (and please take it as constructive as I've been doing this a LONG time): your composition is off on each of the images, and lighting is way off on the night shots. My suggestion is to get a tripod and ditch the flash, opting instead for a longer exposure. I've taken night exposures that were almost an hour long depending on the situation and the desired effect.

Shoot as much as you can every day. You'll start to pick up on all the little stuff that will make your photos great.

Do all your night pictures come out like that? Im not a pro, but the wrx shots arent worth paying for.

... Better quality camera
... anti-aliasing on watermark
... better lighting for night pictures (actual lights?)

shouldnt this be on local forums?

We have to realize that she is still NEW to photography... and the WRX shots were not planned what so ever (as stated in her post ). So perhaps rather than being dick asses about the shots of a, again, NEW photographer, try passing on YOUR knowledge of photography, what has worked/not worked with what youve done.Maybe some tips on lighting. Granted charging people may not be the best of ideas but, it doesnt hurt to try and save yourself a bit of money.

Okay, here are some examples of mine that I dug up.

*None of these were taken with a flash* In fact, they were ALL taken after the sun had disappeared, and all of them at 200ISO (the lowest my digi Nikon will go).

A tripod makes a flash almost completely useless for still shots if you know your camera, even in pitch black situations. Hope this offsets the negative posts, and feel free to ask any questions.
