30 years ago they were saying we were heading towards another Ice Age.

If what they say is real, why is the Ice Cap growing in Antarctica?

Earth's environment is cyclical and we are just a blip in time.

i am not that good in Geography, but we are putting our planet on the line, maybe we are over reacted but if shit really happens, we would be too powerless to encounter.
just like u boosting 20psi stock turbo on stock SR or running without BOV, yes u may run fine and u may not have any problem for anther year, but normally people would not do that why? because we all know its wrong. and we wont do it because we dun want to blow our engine.

How do we know that the temperature has been rising for the last 2000 years when we only have accurate climate data from the last 200? Know one seems to talk these days about the little Ice Age that ended the Renaissance and threw the world into the dark ages. It was much warmer during the Renaissance. They had vineyards in the UK.

Global climate forecasting is in it's infancy. We just figured out the Global conveyor system a few years ago. It's really stupid to make chicken little predictions at this point.

I wish the media would make up their mind.

As recently as January 1994, the supreme authority on matters environmental, Time magazine, wrote:

The ice age cometh? Last week's big chill was a reminder that the Earth's climate can change at any time ... The last (ice age) ended 10,000 years ago; the next one - for there will be a next one - could start tens of thousands of years from now. Or tens of years. Or it may have already started.

OK, here's another article from 1974

http://time-proxy.yaga.com/time/archive/printout/0,23657,944914,00.html

Excerpt: Since the 1940s the mean global temperature has dropped about 2.7° F.

Well, which is it?
