I am curious what intakes will fit on the sr20det. Do the same intakes fit both the Ka's and the sr's? I really like the injen intake with the CAE... Any help would be great. (I would have used the forum's search, but it is still down)

Turbo engines don't use that type of intake. They generally just have a filter coming off the turbo, maybe with a small pipe to distance the filter from the engine a bit.

The pipe distances the MAFS from the compressor. Too close to the compressor and the air flowing through the MAFS might be turbulated or inconsistent, and throw off MAFS readings.

Geeze. I knew that. Of course the intake won't be the same, it has to go through turbo and intercooler. I should have been flamed for that one. LOL. What intakes do you guys have on your SR's? (anybody) thanks

I'm using the HKS Racing Suction. It replaces all the stock rubber piping and bend from the turbo inlet all the way to the MAF with mandrel bent polished alum piping.. The filter element bolts right to the MAF and has an internal velocity stack.

The only place I found that sells the supr suction intake for a silvia wantes $830 for it. That has to be bogus... It is, isn't it? And that wasn't in yen, or some other forign currency. Where did you get yours? Thanks,
Joey

I am just using a classic cone type filter w/ an OBX adapter that goes on the stock piping
