first things first you have to discharge the system...but...uhh...you "can't vent it into the atmosphere" <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> ...then after that all you have to do is just unbolt shit. I removed the A/C on a 98 civic hatch...very easy.

Well, it really isnt that hard to remove most of it. Just unbolt the components. The compressor, condensor, and the other components in the hood should be pretty self explanatory. If you have trouble w/ any particular part, just post it.
Might have trouble with the evaporator unit inside the cabin, since if you just pulled it out the air from the blower would just vent out to the passengers foot. Id just leave that in there. Not gonna get in the way of anything anyways.

im actually trying to remove the a/c system in the engine bay.. all the a/c lines are still connected to the engine. is there a way to discharge the a/c by yourself w/o bringing it to a shop?
