I was at the site for Turbo Magazine and they have thier own 240 in thier magazine. It looks a whole lot better than the onei in the Import Tuner. Plus it has 410hp at 14 psi S13 SR20DET (w/ dyno to back it up). No headlight or taillight coversions. Just a nice Bomex kit and spoiler, not to fond of the color though, but to each his own.

the car looks good, i agree with you on the color, it sucks that all these magazine are advertizing the 240 so damn much the streets are gonna be full of riced 240sx pretty soon.

wasn't this guy selling the car for 30k

...yes... to each their own...
It's received a tail light graft from a kouki S14 whereas it's obviously a zenki (S14before minor change)... Body kit is a little conspicuous IMO.

As much as I love 240s, I wish they weren't becoming so mainstream.

IIRC, this car was in Import Tuner awhile back.

Isn't it true that there was a limited production of the 240 after 1995 in america? I heard that from a friend.. Wondering if it was true or not cuz I don't want to have one of the 4 million 'me 2' running around like civics...

looks like he's running too much boost, or not high enough octane and the ECU is pulling back the timing. oh well, it ain't mine. and what's with that f'n hood piece that functions as a headlight cover thingee, it's disgusting. chris may had one on his too, what gives?

its a cheap way to give it the look of the 97-98 "shark eyes" look. It is pretty stupid IMO

i think those look nice IMO. cheap way of making it look like an s14a but it still looks alright.

Ugh - can you say "LAG" Geezus - that goes against everything the 240/Silvia were created for - available power. To me, that car is nothing but a dyno queen - a dyno-queen that is in a color that doesn't suit the car w/ overly aggressive body clading.

I was at a track event w/ the Supra w/ a biga$$ snail like that. Everyone could pass him anywhere on the track - except the end of the back straight. I actually saw a car come around him at the front of the straight while he was waiting for power... then get passed back at the end. Useless power.

hmm i know that car, at least seen it couple times:)
but odd though, how can it be featured? thought the motor blew (T78??)? and currently replacing it? and making it better?

I just think something is wrong with that dyno graph... like the horsepower and torque lines aren't crossing at 5252 where they are supposed to. Just looks funny to me.

His power band is at the top end. That would really only be good for top end speed. I like the car, besides the headlamp cover. Very clean, non rice.

I think it's a really nice car. Even tho it makes its power at peak rpm, I can't really comment on it. Still makes more power to the wheels at 3500rpm than my stock KA makes at peak.

Considering all the rice that goes in the mags these days, I'd give the owner some credit for doing a good job.

I like the way those 17's look w/ those tires; I won't go that wide though. Those rims are like $800 bucks each, w/ all that money he could have done the kouki upgrade.

*sigh... Haters...

Oh and that is a tail light conversion.. well.. tail light swap.. as somebody already posted.

haha, u cant have the best of both worlds u know. if u want more power out of a turbo u will have to sacrifice some lowend with lag so there is less back pressure at top end. duh!!

as for racing, as long as he keeps it in the power range, above 4800rpm he would keep the boost up and pulling.

really? do u know how it blew up? too lean? i am supporised because he only hit 410hp and that motor seems built to handle alot more than that? i dunno?

I understand the trade off b/n power and lag, but that is too extreme. I know an s14 SR w/ BPU's running 1 bar will get more power to 5400 rpm than that thing. Admittedly, it flattens out above that - but to gain an extra 140 hp in a 1600 rpm range isn't the kind of power I'd be looking for.

I think it's the difference b/n going straight where you could keep it above 4800 and needing to turn where you don't have time to make sure your precious snail's spooled. Little turbos own turns.
