Anyone see their stuff? I was looking at the Engine mounts. Look like Nismo Knock offs.

I'm not comfortable with a blob of urathane with a bolt thru it.

Also looking at their Reinforced Steering Bushing + Bracket Mount Bushing Kit.

It should come with 2 different bushings. The left and right side is shaped differently.

I changed mine with ES and there was a noticeable difference. I wouldn't imagine it would be that hard to make them. They're cheap from ES too though.

Yup, I had to change out my OE ones, or should I say, what's left of them. There were basically little chunks of what the OE mounts used to be on the rack when I took them off to put the ES ones on (that I got from SPLparts.com).

Night and day difference.

The steering is more responsive, and the steering wheel comes back to the center everytime now instead of "centering" to the left or the right, depending on which way I turned my wheel and hit full lock last (the steering rack itself moved when I hit full lock).

Best damn $15 spent on the steering system so far.

you sir need to do your research before making blind statements like the one you made above.
First off Syko mounts are not a blob of urethane with a bolt through them. If you had even followed the group buy thread you would know this.
If you run a bolt straight through a piece of urethane the vibration would be unbearable. In fact there was someone selling a set of mounts made that way that complained about that very issue.
Now, if you study about high durometer Urethane it is and I am using your words here, much stronger than a "BLOB" of rubber. Regardless of the rubbers durometer, which is what the Hardrace mounts are made of, high durometer rubber.
Now if you had taken the time to read about the Syko mounts and look at them in the pictures you would realize that the studs are offset. No bolt is going to go through offset like that. On top of that the stud bases are embedded deeply in the urethane. These mounts have been stress tested to a 5000lb load lift test. They have been run on road race cars, drift cars, etc... with no problems .We have over 300 satisfied customers with not one problem.
If your going to diss the mounts read up on them first before making false accusations.

with the engine in.

It took about 1 minute for the passenger side bushing as it is round and easy to access.

The driver's side took about 10 minutes of fidgetting the mount to finally get it into place.

I had my friend pass me the jack and jacked the rack up kinda close to the driver's side, since that's where the PS hard lines go into the rack, thus putting tension on it.

Then when the rack was lifted up, you would have just enough room to stick your fingers through a space to guide the mount into place. Once it's in place you just slide the top part of the bracket over the mount and bolt it all back.

Took about 20 to 30 minutes total for the install. Took me like 45 minutes to do the whole thing because I cleaned the brackets when I took them off, and cleaned the rack and surrounding area when I was down there.

It took me about 45 minutes because the nut on the driver side was holding on for dear life. After that it was cake. I also got them from Kuah at SPL Parts. Best $15 I spent.

^^^ What nut are you talking about? The brackets are held in by 2 bolts on each side.

looks like they bought the same hooptie Korean crap like kazama/KTS/everyone else on the planet and then put low misalignment rod ends in them.

wack.

Yeah, I'm only dropped 2" and don't know if I really need them. Can't bring myself to drop the $300 on SPL. Guess I'll stick with Moog for now.

Sorry to bump the old thread... But any more input on the quality of the rack bushings? Maybe someone's installed them and has some new feedback...

Edit:
Part #s for various rack bushings, s13
Energy Suspension: 7.10104 (same pn for s14 & z32)
Nismo (s13 only):
54444-RS520 (RH s13/s14)
54445-RS520 (LH s13)

The tie rod ends do look quite janky.

I got the Rack bushings sitting on the shelf. I dunno how hard it's going to be to get that solid one on the rack. I really have to open the FSM up and read up on the install.

As far as quality. The Blue one is a hard durometer Polly and the two black ones are a metal core polly. Blue one looks to be the hard one to install. I would say they are on par quality wise with ES's stuff.

I know nismo poly's are overdone... example

I brought in some from motorsports and the next day a friend went and bought the ES ones. ES had a Little play in them, and the nismo? Well I tried for dear life to get them to budge and zip zilch zada.

but put price and availability.... its your call from there whether you want Nismo's or ES's

BTW I was comparing exhaust bushings

Thanks for that update.

Please PM or post a link to where you picked them up? I assume it was Ebay but there are no auctions for the two piece kit anymore.
