This is a Z919 MP3 player and is the first model from Kenwood (that I know of but could be wrong) to play MP3's. I bought this from Autobacs in Okinawa, Japan around 2001 and it's still better then a lot of the newer players.
It could connect to the TV, Mini Disk or EQ of that series. Good luck finding those!
It would take a long time to post all its features or a lot of pictures so I video taped it. http://www.okifx.com/temp/kenwood.zip

I don't know if it'll play US FM frequencies but can find out tonight. I'm assuming FM in Japan is FM in the US or anywhere for that matter so it should play but the stereo only goes up to 90FM. Since yokotas13 has the same stereo then I would take his word that it won't play US stations, at least without a converter.
Converters can be bought for $5 - $30 for various places.

Nothing is wrong with it at all other than some wear on a few of the buttons.
I had it in my Mark II when I left Japan in 2004 and its been sitting in a box ever since.
It does have a remote.

I've been getting quiet a few questions about the wiring and it does not come with a harness for a particular car. You'll have to acquire one or wire it up manually.
Here is a picture of the wires. Each one is labeled except for the obvious ground wire.

I created the labels for the speaker wires so you won't have to play the trial and error game to see which side it comes out of.
The wires include:
Batt
Acc
Ground
4 RCA
2 Antenna
Line Mute ???
Ant Cont
Ext. Cont
P. Cont
Illum
8 Speaker wire (4 speakers)
The least it will need to work is the batt, acc, ground and of course speakers.

Guys this radio is exactly like a US radio, in english, has FM adn AM (2 separate antenna plugs, havent figured out what the smaller one is for though)
Has front and rear non fader RCAs.
You wire it just like you do any other radio. Only difference is, this was made a few years back, but is up to par with todays radios on the real.
bump for a good deal on a good radio
