Ive spent the last 2 hours searching. Maybe im missing something but here's the issue.

My mafs looks identical to the Z32 Mafs except it has a YELLOW label instead of Orange. What kind of mafs is this and is it any good?

Part#: 22680 30P00 A36-000 N62

6 pin connector with 4 wires: 2 black, 1 white, 1 red

Now for the problem:

My car idles at 1k rpm, feels a little rough. When im in low rpm, my car starts to bog until i give it more throttle. does this in every gear at low throttle in low rpm. Also, when we check on the dyno, i the motor feels like its missing at 4800rpm full throttle.

Things we've checked:
plugs gapped at perfect .028
plugs are in good condition
getting spark on all 4 cylinders
injectors are all working properly
no vacuum/boost leaks whatsoever
compression is 150 on all 4
leakdown is perfect
might have an exhaust leak
@9psi 250whp before 4800rpm, then it misses.

Setup:
redtop sr20det
stock motor internals
upgraded t28 turbo
850cc power enterprise injectors
hks fmic
apexi power fc
hks bov
ngk iridium step 8

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

that is a MAF from a j30. it is the same as the 300zx, i ran it in my car. the only thing that matters is the n62 at the end. check all of your grounds. possible the knock sensor is bad and retarding your timing?

timing is dead on, grounds are good. should i try grounding that extra z32 mafs ground wire to the chassis? are the ngk iridiums with a heat range of 8 too cold for an sr? very weird problem...i'll appreciate any suggestions you guys throw at me

yes i would say 8's are too cold, go with 7. yes, that extra ground wire on the maf is supposed to go to a chassis ground, that alone might fix your problem.

its a Z32 maf, it can handle over 25 pounds of boost and i think around 500 hp... i wouldnt turn it up too much with the stock internals though if you do turn up the boost make sure to run race gas, at least 100 octane or it will detonate and the motor will blow

did that help, does your car run good now?

the chassis ground did help, it smoothed the acceleration up but i still get the bogging on take off and on shifts, and i still bogg/miss at 4800rpm. i also went out and swapped a working z32 mafs and that did not help. I checked the wiring to the mafs and all connections are nicely soldered and correct.

i dont know what else it could be??? could the knock sensor make my motor act this way?? i also checked spark plugs and they're good. maybe 8 is too cold..but would that make my motor bog out like that?

no your knock sensor wont really act like that. if your knock sensor goes bad you will know, your car will buck real hard and you will missfire non stop because it pulls timing. i would try changing the plugs to 7's. use the fsm to check all the coilpacks and check the harness ground for them, its behind the valve cover.

ive got the same problem but it is with a stock sohc ka.

ill be sure to do that. i know for sure the timing is ok, and the coilpacks are ok, would it be a good idea to ground the coilpack harness to the chassis instead??? I'll also change the plugs to 7.

I also checked the ecu wiring and all connections are nicely soldered and correct...from what i can see. the thing is, i took it to a dyno tuner, he said afr was good, and safe to drive like this, but its just that annoying problem..no detonation at all either.
