SR20 Maf Plug = KA Maf Plug?

Ok quick question, i did another sr wiring setup in another car, but being a lil different from my setup. I just took the KA maf wiring w/plug and soldered straight to sr wiring to extend it. Car starts and idles but wont go past 1500 rpm.

Could that be the problem? I had the guy unplug the maf and try to rev it and its the same thing.

I know every guide says to use KA wires to extend the SR maf wiring, but wasnt clear if that meant just placing KA wires between the sr wiring and the sr maf plug.

correct, u just use the wire to extend it, u dont use the KA maf

KA DOHC MAF or SOHC MAF? Only Sohc maf works and iirc, the pinnings a bit different, dont think its a straight plug and play.
