I was wondering who makes their own braces?
you guys have any pics?
what kind of metal and welding did you use?
I'm thinking about making some pieces like the front fender brace and maybe a trunk bar or something like that...
thinking about using mild steel because Al is a bitch to work with....

Boomizm.
I've never had a problem with them flexing or bending, i've used them as breakerbars before, and no malformation.
Best 10ish bucks ever spent.

In my opinion aluminum isn't that bad to work with. I haven't done anything out of aluminum for my car, but I have used aluminum a lot making stuff for some dune buggys and whatever other random stuff comes to the shop. For my car I've only made the seat rails and cage though. TIG all the way! jk, MIG or TIG doesn't matter for little stuff like chassis stiffening stuff, unless you are entering a chassis brace car show.

Search around for the people that made their own Power Braces. They're actually pretty good and that brace made the biggest difference on my car so far.
