A night at the dragstrip

I went to the dragstrip for my first time last night and i must admit it was a lot more fun than some people say it is. it was $5 to get in and an extra 5 spot if you wanted to race your car. There weren't many people there at all that night. I raced w/ my friend in his eagle talon tsi awd and it was really a lot of fun even though i was only a passenger. I'm sad to say though that there was only 1 240sx there that night and my friend really stomped him. There was one guy who came out in a first gen talon and stomped everyone at the track (including the streetbike people) w/ a whopping 9.2 second quarter mile time at 152mph. he probably would have done better had he not almost wrecked into the guard rail right off the start! his back tires completely broke free and almost spun his ass into the rails but he straigtened it out and just shot off down the track. when the track finally closed we all headed back to meet at another kid's house. i was with my friend in his talon and we were folling this other kid home when a split off, along w/ all of our other friends, but we stayed on the highway because we new a quicker way. as we were driving three other racers from the strip caught up to us and we were all messin around and racing down the highway before we had to get off on our exit. one kid's car was obnoxiously loud and when we asked him why he said it was an "external dump" or something. i couldn't really hear him on the highway too well. oh well. it was a great time. before anyone flames us for road racing i just want to let you know that we weren't playing in traffic. there was almost no one else on the highway at this time of night. i know that doesn't make it right but its just not being as stupid as some.

sounds like fun- I can't wait till saturday... hot import nights.. me and like 50+ hooked up cars rolling down the parkway to AC.. its gonna be indy 500 going there and we'll freak the troopers out.. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':cool:'>

i live in ohio. this was at dragway 42. i'm going again on friday because it's "fast and furious friday" i know it sounds horrible stupid but it actually sounds like fun because they let you and 3 other people line up at the same time and race. so it should be interesting.
