Changing fuel lines

I have an s13 and one of the fuel lines underneath the car is really old and cracked. It's leaking fuel now and needs to be changed. My question is because the tank is full of gas, is their a way to change the line without fuel leaking all over my driveway?
Pictures are from under the rear of the car, the object in the bottom right corner is the gas tank

hmm.. i would think you would have to depressurize the lines by taking out your gas pump fuse and then start your car till it burns off the rest of it and then undo the lines... there might be some gas left but its not alot...lol if you drip some gas itll evaporate real quick

Wrong. The lines are not pressurized, but since they flow fuel both ways they'll be full of fuel. Unhooking either one will allow it to begin leaking and continue to leak until it's plugged or reinstalled. Only way to do it without dumping the tank is to empty it by driving, or remove the tank completely.

o ok lol i wasnt sure thats why i said "i would think" i thought it would be the same as when you change your fuel filter

would it make a difference if you took out your fuel pump?

i just pulled my fuel pump fuse and ran my engine until my car died. There were only drops of fuel in the line all the way to the fuel pump

^ what about the return line? What are you gonna replace them with, rubber hose? or ss line?
