I was reassembling my s13 redtop today and installing my aluminum oil pan. I start to tighten down the bolts in numerical order, and put the right size bolts where i thought the belonged. I started to tighten down the number one bolt and it is a little hard to turn but still is turning. All the sudden I hear a cracking sound and stop right away. I look up and the block has a small spider crack right about the bolt. It mustve been the wrong size and pushed through. Is there any way to fix this or is the block ruined? It is on the passenger side right behind the motor mount. There has to have been a weak point in my block for it to crack that easily or somthing. Any ideas on what to do or should I just look for a new block now. Here's a link to the pic of the crack:

You can get someone that knows what they're doing to weld it back up.

I wouldn't see that area of the block as being under alot of stress so Id think it would be ok.

If you read the JB Weld packet apparently it'll work ;)

I wouldn't use the jb weld if you want it done RIGHT.

Just have it welded by a GOOD and qualified welder.. Should be cheap, and i dont think you'll have problems with it in the future..
You MAY even be able to get away with leaving it, but i would hate to see such a small crack turn into a HUGE one....
