It's not the slave. I just replaced the slave on saturday and the squeek is still present on my car. I'm leaning towards the master cylinder since it sounds like it's directly connected to the clutch pedal. Keep me posted if you find out anything cuz I want to get rid of that noise too.

You guys know that return spring underneath the clutch pedal?
You guys know that bottle on WD40 I hope you all have lying around somewhere?
Worked for me on my old 240!

indeed, @ the end of the clutch peddle, where the spring is, soak it w/ WD-40, it'll go away. be causious not to get any on the carpet. wha i did was, i had newspaper layed over the spot, and sprayed the hell out of it. it comes back once in a while, just spry again.

I wd-40'd it when it first started squeeking and it didn't go away, so it's leading me to believe it may be something else. Thanks for the info anyway.

s13grl and meowth are right. Most likely it's the spring. if it's still squeaking, you might have to replace it, which is relatively much cheaper than the master cylinder. Make sure the spring doesn't break tho, cause you won't be able to put it in gear. I know from experience (spring broke in the middle of traffic hour).
