I would have to go with eather some Initial D or some other crazy techno, If you want underintimdate someone play some Cake (cake rocks) or MJ, Eather Beat It or Marrie Jane, they will laff and u will kill them, Beat it is the best, if you have the best system, it will sound tight, like u challenge someone and they hear beat it, yea, they will be way scared

For sure Coolero would go with Initial D: 1st Stage Nonstop Megamix.. har har. I would have to say the same thing... either that or Initial D: Super Euro Best.

Sometimes it's hard to turn off the music though. Usually when I'm up in the canyons with the rest of the guys, i want to turn off the music so I can hear when my tires are starting to lose grip. Can't help it though.... i still leave it on, but at least I decrease the volume

Seems like there are quite a few of us who listen to Initial D when driving fast. I got my custom Initial D CD, and a CD with a bunch of popular music remixes. THose are all good.

Yeah... that's all fine and well to use American music (if you own a Trans-AM) but come on! You do know that you only get the extra 20hp if you're listening to JDM music right??

Try some Ayumi Hamasaki... especially the HAL mixes.

Seriously though... I do like driving to a lot of Japanese bands... and some Anime's do have good music. I've never watched/listened to Intial D so I can't comment... but I find music from Bubble Gum Crisis (any of the series) to be very good.

For pure driving energy...

Audio Adrenaline - Free Ride
Pink Floyd - One of These Days
Rage Against the Machine - "Track 7" (sorry, I don't know the name)
Moby - James Bond Remix
...and, uhm...
SNES - F-Zero (I might be ashamed to admit this, but I have SNES tunes on MiniDisc, and they are damn fun to speed to)

That's what springs to mind as great driving songs, but if you're this curious, what I usually listen when I'm just cruisin' around, well then, I listen to a mix CD I made of...

Simple Minds - Don't You Forget About Me
Donna Lewis- I Love You Always and Forever
Kim Carnes - Betty Davis Eyes
Phil Collins - True Colors
Sophie B. Hawkins - Don't Tell Me No
Billy Joel - For the Longest Time
Pink Floyd - The Great Gig in the Sky
NIN - something i can never have
Charlie Daniels Band - Devil Went Down to Georgia
GNR - November Rain
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
Henri Mancini - Pink Panther Theme
MDFMK - Torpedoes
(?) - Take On Me, Ska Remix
Pink Floyd - Pigs on the Wing (Parts 1 & 2)
GNR - Sweet Child O' Mine
Pink Floyd - What Shall We Do Now?

So, no, most of those have nothing to with driving, but it's an eclectic mix which keeps the mood varied, and it reminds me of someone special. So, you asked what I listen to when I'm driving. Well, it seems more times than not, it's one of those songs.

J-Pop:
"Fly High" by Ayumi Hamasaki
"Evolution" by Ayumi Hamasaki
"Unite" by Ayumi Hamasaki
"Blazin' Beat" by Move
"Fly Me So High" by Move (Oh God, I love this song. TOTALLY racing music.)
"Gamble Rumble" by Move

Super Eurobeat (the type of music where almost every song sounds the same and the words "fire", "energy", "desire", "night", "dance", and "love" are included in every lyric, SEB fans, pay attention. ^_^):
"Boom Boom Fire" by D. Essex
"Velfarre 2000" by Bazooka Girls
"Beat of the Rising Sun" by Dave Rodgers
"Energy Love" by Delta Queens
"Station To Station" by Derrece Simmons
"Max Power" by Dr. Love feat. D. Essex
"Soul of the Night" by Elisa
"One Night in Arabia" by Go Go Girls
"Be My Baby ("Babe" according to the Initial D CD -_-)" by Jilly
"Ready!" by Folder5 (it's just a Japanese version of "Baby One, Baby Two by Lolita)
"Try Me" by Lolita (eh..English version of one of Namie Amuro's songs)
"Runnin' in the 90's" by Max Coveri
"Take Me Baby" by Mickey B. (played during the Initial D: 3rd Stage trailers a couple years ago)
"Take Me Now" by Tommy K.
"Stay" by Victoria
"Make Up Your Mind" by Wain L.

Yea, I know, they're in alphabetical order, I was just going by my Winamp playlist.

"Control" by Puddle of Mudd
"Crawling in the Dark" by Hoobastank

Bemani (Beatmania IIDX, Dance Dance Revolution, etc):
"The Shining Polaris" by LED feat. Sana
"Deadline" by Dutch Force (okay, not exactly a Konami original, but it was in Beatmania IIDX )
"Drifting Away" by Lange feat. Skye (..like "Deadline" it isn't a Konami original, but it was in DDR Max2)
"Healing Vision (Angelic Mix)" by De-Sire
"Genom Screams" by LED Light
"V" by DJ Taka
"Frozen Ray" by DJ Taka
"Kakumei" by DJ Taka and Naoki

Hip-Hop:
Hahahaha..I would never race to hip-hop. That kind of music's for chillin', cruisin', or driving in the city streets. Real hip-hop, where beats and rhymes are supposed to make sense, not that "stunna" shit, mind you. ^_^

The only southern rappers I listen to are Outkast ("Bombs Over Bagdad" for speedy driving), Goodie Mob, and sometimes Ludacris, but I've been checking out Nappy Roots. I listen to Cash Money when I just want shits and giggles, I don't really like them though, but their songs are catchy, however their lyrics are just damned stupid. The hip-hop artists I mostly listen to are Blackalicious, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, some Nas, a little Jay-Z (okay, just mainly "Dead Presidents II"), Drunken Tiger, Mobb Deep, Royce Da 5'9', Hieroglyphics, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang, Redman, AZ, Big L, Canibus, Busta Rhymes (well, the classics like "Everything Remains Raw"), The Pharcyde, Pharaohe Monch, etc.
