Courtesy parts sells the nismo t/c rod bushings alone for $32.59 but also sells the a 'nismo' t/c rod with bushing pressed in for $329... My question is, are the two bushings the same on either piece? Unless there is something i'm missing, I don't see the $300 price difference..

The bushings are the same. You're just paying for the rod. If you have access to a shop press, there's no reason to pay for the new rods.

for s13 the rods are same as stock, with nismo bushings.
for s14 the rods have a curve because tires would scrub on em at full lock, i know mine did, but it depends on your wheel/tire setup.

you're paying for paint, labor, and brand name. it's more cost effective to buy the bushings and get em pressed in yourself.

Plus if you want them to look like the NIsmo rods just paint your Rods Silver.

You can just burn the old rubber out and use a sawsall to cut the outer bushing sleeve. Then get a bench vise and push the new ones in.

Just buy the spl ones or any heim joint style. It gives you adjustability, and is alot stiffer than the drop in bushing style.

Cheaper also!

But if you insist on getting the nismo ones, just buy the bushings and find a machine shop to press your old ones out and the new ones in.
