Helping a friend do a 5-speed swap in his s14. I have never did a 5spd swap before so here it goes. Are these the white cables I need to loop/attach them together with? Thanks!

no, those aren't it. You need to hook up the 2 wires in the 1st connector behind the fuse box. LIke if you're directly in front of the car, and you're looking towards the firewall, you will see a bunch of connectors behind the fusebox. I'll take a pic for you b/c I just did this yesterday, lol.
Have u done the speed sensor yet b/c I can't figure that out yet. And if u need help w/ the reverse lights I'll help u out w/ that too b/c I just did that 2 hours ago. Peace

I tried something w/ teh speed sensor and i sort of fucked up the car. I tried turning it on and then everything went dead  SO i took the negative off the battery and put it back on and when I put it on Accy all the lights on the dash turn on but I'm scared to turn it on.

Hey, you say you just did a 5spd swap in an s14 the other day? I think I'm gonna help a friend do his. Automatic lower engine harness is used and NOT a 5spd one, right?

For the speed sensor.. just find the wires were the speed sensor went.. cut them and re-wire the new section for a manual sensor.

and that should clear up the wiring..
and I have plenty of pics of everything, so lemme know if you need something specific.

No, you use a 5spd lower harness.. OR you can make your own..

The VSS is no different between auto and manual as far as wiring. I don't see how people have so much trouble with this. Take the auto harness and unwrap all the loom/tape, remove the excess and plug the VSS right back in. There is NO WIRING needed to be done here.
S13 = wires are yellow/blue and yellow/black and run to a 2pin plug by the starter, the VSS itself has a long lead with a green and black wire that comes up from the transmission and plugs right in.
S14 = red and red/yellow wires, runs directly from a plug below the main fusebox to the sensor itself, plugs in to the sensor housing.
Reverse wiring is green and black from the 3rd plug down, run back and tie in to the reverse switch (green/white and green/blue on S13, green/white and green on S14). You do not need a 5spd harness since the plugs for the extra switches don't exist in an auto car, nor does the wiring. Those are the only two switches that need to be connected. *If* you want to avoid a CEL you have to run the neutral and 5th gear switch wiring inside to the ECU, using a 5spd harness doesn't suddenly give you the rest of the wiring.

My mistake.. only reason I said to hack the wiring for the VSS is 'cuz someone sent me an s13 VSS and SWORE it was s14.. but the connector didn't fit.. so I had to cut it.
