Words cant express how much i hate driving in NYC...

Im driving along a two way street(two lanes in both direction), im on the right most lane, then we have this GMC 4X4 on the inner lane on my left. As im passing him, he cuts to his right(my lane) w/o looking!!! Bangs into my side and ram me up the curb.

So now i have a palm size dent on my rear quarter panel, scratches through my door, a broken side mirror and TWO dents on my front fender both the size of a mouse pad, all this on my driver side. And on the passenger side, i blew the front tire & both my rims are all scratched up...but however every1 is okay.

I get out and look at my car, then i go to the other driver, with a calm voice asked "Dont you look b4 u cut lanes?", then the fuckin guy said "So should I call the police & do you want to?" w/ this huge attitude. I mean accidents happen but not even an appology??? WTF!!!

The worst part is, it took the cops 3hrs to get there after we called like 10 times. After the 2nd hr. the other driver was like, "Look I got better things to, how bout i give you $200 and we call it settled", so i said "You can shove your $200 up your ass, if you want you can leave, go ahead i already have your plate #, even better for me-hit and run"

Waiting for the police report on Sat. so i can call his ins. co., i guess im gonna repaint the whole car since there's so much body work to be done(never really like the green in the 1st place).

Yeah, that sux, but look at it this way, it's a free paint job, and since you never really liked the color anyways...maybe it's for the better!

I hate SUV's though. People that drive them are so wreckless and never think about others on the road. Whenever I've had close calls on my motorcycle it was almost ALWAYS due to an SUV.

Bastards think they own the roads!!!

Well Im keeping mah hopes up, but i dont wanna be greedy...I dont need the whole paint job to be paid, as long as the damage is covered.

Ugh. That sucks - and two hours!

Let me guess - Bklyn? If I go beyond about Park Slope, I just leave my car in Manhattan whenever I go up there. That is the craziest place to drive I have ever seen... which makes it fun to visit, but I can't imagine a daily commute in that sh!t.

man, it doesnt matter what part of NY. Every part of it has suck ass drivers. Do u guys know whats worse than SUVs?
Mother F'n taxi drivers. They suck so much balls, and cause like 70-80% of most accidents that I've seen.
*** Beware of SUVs, women drivers, and taxis. ***

PS u dont know how many tims some idiot on my side tries to swerve into my lane without looking. Its so funny, so when I see the car kinda motioning to my lane, I automatically honk my horn. Even if I dont see the other car motioning, I still honk so that they know Im there, I guess it's been all the close calls with the mother F'n taxi drivers that ahs got me a tad bit paranoid(also, hunt's point which is the illegal spot of racing, has got me a little paranoid with the crazy shitvic drivers goin nuts and cutting people off like nothing)

Dude I am SO SORRY to hear that!
Like I know how it us up there...I am from Manhattan, and that fucking city is terrible for driving. If someone says they know how to drive, ask them if the have been through NYC... If they can handle that, then I will agree they can drive...heh

Anyhow- just think on the bright side... Take your car to the MOST expensive place and send that quote to his insurance...
Then make your decision if you really want to take it to that place or go somewhere else for a little cheaper...Keep the difference and add something to your car

NYC is a madhouse to drive in.. f*ckin drivers there aren't drivers .. they don't know how too.. I just learn to drive the center lane and honk at people who try to cut me off or what not.. this is where I love the handling on the 240-- its so awesome since its got instant response and is very manueverable. I learned one thing though from driving in the city, drive like them or better.. don't be a nice guy cause you'll get run over.. I always make sure I'm moving faster than the traffic so I don't give them a chance to hit me if I'm riding next to them...
Anyways, good luck man.. maybe you can get that new paintjob

Check this out.... Have you ever noticed how taxi drivers never get in trouble for SHIT in NYC?

I was told that they have some deal with the city law, which makes them able to get away with things...

Anyone know about this?

I have a personal friend that does body work- he pulled all the dents out of my car and repainted my car from the primer up and did a great job- he also is doing my body kit.. he has a big 'oven' he puts the car in to get a nice professional look to the paint quality(helps in doing an A+ job in drying the paint)- He is located in Monmouth County of NJ.. If you want info- just email me and I'll send you a copy of his business card and he'll probably be glad to help you out..

That really sux man. I know what it feels like to have someone drive like shit and smack into you. My damage wasn't nearly as bad, but unless I go to small claims, I've gotta pay for it all myself

Good luck with everything, hopefully you won't have too much hassle from this.
