well those are nice fans, but you can get the altima fans which are really nice for cheap as hell.

youd probably be in good shape with that, I run 2 permacool 14" like that, but different, with a stock SR/stock rad, summitracing for 99.95 iirc, I think mine move more air than that though (me>2x1750cfm). just get 2, wire one to come on automatically and run a switch for the other one in case of traffic/track/overheat.:bigok:

i wonder if 2 14's of these fans would fit on the sr koyo rad. i was thinking 2 12's like the FAL. How much are the altima fans and the permacools? should i get junkyard altima fans or new ones?

looks like a nice fan for a very good price. but how would you go about mounting it on the stock radiator?

If I'm not mistaken the cfm rating on fans is done w/no resistance(ie no radiator in front of it). I have gone the universal fan route and it seems to be a waste of money. For what you pay for 1 universal you could get the dual altima fans setup and they have been tested/shown to be as effective as the FAL fans and other higher end fans. Now if your dealing w/a space issue(ie you have an rb installed in your 240) then you wouldn't be able to use the altima fans but for the money they are the best option out there...read this comparison on fans/radiator setups, its old but has a ton of useful info

after reading that link, I guess id reccommend the altima fans...

those guys did a serious test... I wish I read that before fan shopping:hammer:

regardless, my fans keep me at around 185 in stopppppped traffic on the grand central, on 90degree days. Doesnt really get much warmer than that here. (water sprayers installed for high boost running, also very effective/cheap)

yeah zipties will work fine...also someone mentioned that weatherstriping from home depot, lowes, or any other store will help seal the fan to the radiator. Secure it as tight as poss. so the fans have the max. effect.

Where have you guys ordered the altima fans? also did you hook it up to a switch, or have it running all the time, or find a way to hook it up to the thermostat?

Ebay...got mine for like 55.00 shipped...I'm gonna hook mine up to run all of the time for now(they should arrive today or tommorow)...checked ebay for you and I didn't see any, usually they will say that they're altima fans w/240sx in the title...there are other altima fans on there but I forget what year to use...search for the thread by mello88 on altima fans for some good info...g.l.

Here you go...I found it
