thanks for the reply guys :)

As for the Final Konnexion stuff, (most guys would have taken the chance to make $ off of you guys for this stuff), but i'm not since I myself have been ripped off.. so i'll share :D

I actually got it straight from Final Konnexion (http://www.finalkonnexion.co.jp/english/rindex.html) themselfs. YES!!! As strange as this sounds, but the guy that responds their email actually understands English, and as strange as that sounds too... the guys there WILL SHIP INTERNATIONAL!!!!!

As you can see on their website, the clear corner lense replacement(which is only a lens) was 120,000YEN, and the new release entire clear corner light assembly was just 98,000YEN(straight bolt on, no need to rip out anything with heat gun)... PLUS, the new replacement design actually has some large flunts running horizontally(like newer cars does), making the corner lamp more effective then just a clear lens would (since our corner lamp doesn't have the fancy reflectors inside like really new cars does).

hope this can help more zenki guys buy the ALWAYS WANTED clear lenses without being ripped off like paying some guys here $450US for the headlight lenses alone.

as for prices and shipping for them... the headlight lenses was 230,000YEN(~$230US), new corner lens setup was (98,00YEN~$98US), and shipping EMS from Japan to Canada was only $79Cdn~$70US.... so you guys do the math :D good stuff huh :D One downside is that they only take bank wiring, so you do have to pay an extra bit of $ (depending on your bank) for wiring fees.

and I got my stuff in about 5 days after I paid.

oh ya, just thought of this too, it WOULD be a bonus if you can find JDM headlights to do this conversion with, since it does have more adjustability then the US/Canada Headlight... and since you're putting in a projector, you dont' have to worry about hurting other ppls eyes from using a RHD headlight in LHD country.

Plus, you guys can work out some group buy from them too if you all get together to see if you can get some bulk order price.

Just a thought... :)

Go on to hidforum.com and read up on the tech info there... very useful, many ways to do it, just depends on how hardcore you want to do your setup :)

I JBweld mine in first and then use nuts/bolts to further secure the projector in the reflector housing.

I'll give you $700 for your setup. Im serious.

it's not very cost effective for me to do a setup for you or do another one for myself and sell you mine. just the fact that i'm in Canada, and all of the parts I get for my setup is from the States and Japan. I paid a lot of money for shipping and duty to get these parts into Canada.

And tell you the truth, his is actually my first time doing this, so if I were to do it all over again, i'd change some stuff and make it much better...

one thing you can do is go on to hidforum.com and there are a lot of guys there also in the states that will do retro fits for other for reasonable prices, and believe me, they do VERY nice jobs... this way will be more cost effect for you.

Here is a list of all the you need to have my setup:

-BMW E46 single projector ($99US+shipping on hidplanet.com)
-BMW X5 Shroud (~$40US+shipping on ebay)
-Philips D2S HID Bulbs (~$80US+shipping on ebay)
-Final Konnexion Clear Lens (~$300US Shipped from FK Japan)
-Philip HID Ballasts with Ignitor (market price)
-misc items (wires/connectors/JBweld/nuts/bolts/heat resistant silicon...)
-tools (dremo/heat gun/socket set/screw drivers/sodering set)

I have seen complete HIDs from total cars on ebay going for about $500US (including projectors, bulbs, shroud, ballasts, ignitor, most if not all of the wiring) much cheaper then buying each item separately... but setups like that costed more at the time I was buying plus i pay extra on shipping/duty for being in Canada.

hope this helps

nice job on it. here is a suggestion on it, you can sand down the reflector around the projectors itself and paint it black. it looks very goood.

why would he want to do that? It's obvious that he bought the x5 shroud for that look.

pkw1, looks sick! welcome to the hid retrofit world. HID KIT is junk! :)

Great job! Very clean... and definitely done the right way, in comparision to a basic drop in kit....

But IMO I think I prefer the projector-less look on zenki's. In no way am I knocking your hard work or the fact that this has been done the right way, but from an asthetic point of view I think I just prefer regular lamps.... I guess it is German Housings for me..

Again, great job though!

Your setup is so clean, I'm thinking about selling my current hid setup and starting over again.

To start off, you did a wonderful job pkw1. I will be finishing my light setup this summer. It really is one of my most favorite mods I have done on my car.

I'll give you $700 for your setup. Im serious.

I would never sell my setup, but I can definately build you a setup. I wasn't the first to do a retro on a zenki (I believe the 2nd person though), but the first to do it with the FK projectors. Yes the setup is expensive, if anyone is intersted, get in contact with me and we can work something out. There are plenty of options and I have 2 sets of ballasts and ignitors right next to me right now.

Wishing you all the best,
Carlos Doria

Thx for the comments guys.. ya, I went with the x5 shroud so I can still maintain the whole low beam portion of the headlight to light up(without blinding other people). I thought of completely sealing up the projectors, but then if I do that, I'd be left with just two bright dots of the small projectors(totally looses the zenki look).

I did have a set of H4 conversions on stock headlights before, and was not very happy with the results, that's why I went ahead and did this retro now.

As for cut off pictures, I'll have to get my tripod back from my friend first... I tried taking a few shots with bare hands, and it just fuzzed out.

Can you also take some pics of the rear housing?

Can you also take some pics of the rear housing?

the rear of the housing is unmodified(so you can't really make out anything froma picture... it looks just like stock other then the plug) I was able to fit the whole projector inside the stock housing and STILL use the ring cover and seals from the stock headlight. the only difference is that instead of having the H4 bulb plug, it's the D2S HID bulb plug instead, then I use more electrical tape to wrap around it for a better seal.

very small angle job needed, but I doubt you would want to redo the whole thing. It still looks really good and alot better then stock or those fake, yes fake HID drop in kits. It so annoying to hear, "yea, the drop in bulbs!"

ya, i've noticed that too, it was straight when i installed the projectors and tested them. It's strange how nissan located the adjusting/piviting spots for adjusting the headlights.. I guess you won't notice it when the cutoff are on the pitted lense of the stock headlights(not the reflectors inside the headlight), so when I adjust the headlights sideways, it actually turns the cutoff line clockwise and counterclockwise a bit.
