Selling a brand new, never installed Quick Time Performance 3" Electronic exhaust cutout. There are different brands out there but QTP is the leader with quality and service.
I have one installed on my 240SX w/ SR20DET swap and it's great. Welded it onto my 3" Downpipe and I'm running a stock exhaust, super stealthy. Cops don't hear you, they don't pull you over for an aftermarket pipe which usually leads to your hood being popped.
Sounds stock until you flip the switch, then it turns to an open downpipe......sounds mean I tells ya! Anyway, it's sold on www.quicktimeperformance.com website for $200 brand new, plus tax, plus shipping. I'll sell mine for $200 shipped anywhere in the top 48-states. Let me know, excellent for CALIFORNIA residents ofcourse!

did you notice any performance gains or was it just to be loud?

I was running an HKS N/A HiPower System. Sold it and went to a GPSports 3" Spec-D setup, I felt the power a lot more with the 3". I sold it and went to stock, felt slow as hell again but extremely quiet which was great, and the stock look I wanted....
When you hit the switch, you DEFINITELY feel a performance gain over stock, if you're running a 3" exhauts already, I'm sure you'll feel mid-top end power because it's like running open downpipe. Good mod man, I would seriously suggest getting this...can't believe there's not many people interested.

i was actually suprised to see nobody was running this on their cars. I saw QTP's website back in 2003 when they first put it on a wrx and posted that video.
I would've bought this last week but I recently picked up a new exhaust that is loud as is.

They started out making them for American cars only, or I guess the Domestics were more interested than imports at the time. If you look on their profile page you see a kid named, Chris Manaloto with a 2001 Integra. This is my very good friend, he was the first to utilize a cut out on an import vehicle. He had a extremely stock looking 2001 Integra GSR with a Drag Gen:3 turbo kit, black intercooler, black piping, stock exhaust and stock wheels. Just a lowered black Integra...when he rolled to the line it sounded dead stock, when he flipped the switch, people were like, "Huh?" hahhaa, sounded crazy with the exhaust pulses....it was great, then he would return back after the run and sound stock...noone never knew.
Anyway, back to the point...BUY MY CUTOUT! hahah...

My friend Jon actually did this on his 89 hatch, stock motor w/ intake, stock exhaust. He said he definetly felt a power increase, and it's worth the money just from the sound it makes. :bigok:

Guys, you can visit www.quicktimeperformance.com
They got a 30HP gain from a WRX, 20HP gain from a SRT-4, 75HP gain from a Turbocharged Civic hatch. Here's a video of a WRX with the setup, same as mine.
http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/Media/WRXVideo.wmv
FlipRayzin240SX: $170 if you pick it up. I'm in Fremont/Union City area.
TD5Turbo: Watch the video, same setup I'm running.
SiI40X: It's actually on www.craigslist.com right now hahahahahhaa....
Soawsom: I mean running a stock exhaust has its benefits, sleeper, no hassle from the fuzz but it has it draw backs like restriction on horsepower. A cutout added to that still keeps your daily driveability but also gives you horsepower when you want it with the flip of a switch. You can't lose man, a 3" exhaust is loud all the time and too much bling for your local Johnny Law. Sure it looks cool to all the tuners, but imagine rolling up to a car meet all silent then flipping the swith and instantly going to open downpipe...AWESOME I must say! hahaha...

just a question so when its closed its running through the straight pipe and when u open it and its running through the curvbed dump does the other close or stay open? doesnt that cause some turbulance or is it pretty much all gonna flow smooth tghrogh the dump?

I have a 240sx with an SR.
My car dyno'd 190 whp through the stock exhaust.
I uncapped my cutout and dyno'd 218. They're awesome.

I'm running a stock exhaust and I hardly boost until I need to. I'm running a GT2871R with a header, downpipe, hollowed cat, cutout, and stock exhaust. When it's time to race or get on it, I flip the switch and get at it hahaha..
IF you're in CA, I would strongly suggest this setup, I'm just tired of getting hasseled and it sounds badass when it's open. The gains are DEFINITELY there over stock and probably 3" all the way back.

so basically you cutout part of your down pipe and weld it on? (im still a noob..)
btw, how fast does it open? right away or a couple seconds?

Look at my above post, I have a link with it on a WRX, opens fairly quickly.
I cutout a section of my 3" downpipe BEFORE the cat and had it welded on and clocked correctly for $40 locally.

You can weld it towards the driver side or the passenger side, it doesn't matter. I have it going out towards the driver side to avoid the exhaust hitting my brakes hardlines.
